Okay here are a few questions that have beenbrought to my attention. At the cost of sounding silly, I still wanted to bring the questions to the board to see what you say.I couldn't fully answer because I don't know what the right answers are on some of the things asked.Someone told me recently that if you pay taxes on the products whenyou buy through BeautiControl that you don't charge tax when you sell them because the taxes have already been paid onthe products. I thoughtone would charge taxin turn to gethis/her money backthattheypaid in taxes. What is the correct method on this? Also if you are a new consultant and haven't turned over any profit,do you report any income or do you have to make a certain amount before you report it as income? Say for instance you sell, but then what you make goes toward the charges you made in ordering the products and for other things for your business. I was also asked why we don't have a tax number if we are Independent Consultants in our own businesses or a license to sell. It got me to thinking so Iwanted to bring it to the board and maybe those who are "experienced" can share the answers. Does anyone know FOR SURE the right answers to these questions? I hate to be told the wrong thing and I wouldn't want to tell another wrong either. Pleasepost a response if you will. Thank you.

Hi,
I can't answer all that, but I can tell you, that you charge clients tax, to recoop your expenses.
You determine what percent of tax you charge by calling the courthouseand finding out the tax in your county.
Good luck,
also look at www.lascpa.com/record_keeping_bc.htm

You can also get your tax rate on BeautiNet. Always charge tax on the products you sell. I used to own a small business andI had to turnmy taxes in every quarter to the state thatI charged for the merchandise I sold. It was a pain in the neck. I think BeautiControl does it this way to make it easy for us.We just pay the tax up front and get it back from our clients when they purchase it from us. The only thing you have to keep track of yourself is the income tax part. Make sure you keep all of your receipts for EVERYTHING! Your expenses will help you when you go and get your taxes done. I hope this helps.smileys/smiley1.gif
