I read that the project was ending on another forum and I found out
this is suppose to be a rumor that was started so other agents would
quit the project and move on so that those agents would have a better
chance at getting hours. And I was one that did quit because I thought
it was true and went outside of my home to get a job because I was so
scared that it was true with the way things were. Now I am without a

I was not aware of WS loosing this project. Do you have some inside scoop on the situation that the rest of us are unaware of???

I'm sorry that you gave up this project but...maybe you should have gone directly to your project manager instead of relying on rumors and innuendos? Just because something is posted on another board - or 10 different boards for that matter - doesn't make it true - always best to ask the source.

Also, I noticed you edited your post yesterday - you were actually spreading the rumor yourself, but I guess after finding out the rumor was false, you changed your post...

You said it Momof3, this is a perfect example of why WSOL is what it is. As soon as they know something for sure they let the agents know directly, we should never rely on rumor, there are always lots of em floating around and I've never found them to be true.

You lost your job over a rumor? You should know better! Well lesson learned.

Maybe it was not such a big rumor after all was it? Maybe not the project itself is leaving (YET) but a friend of mine who is still on the project said they are going to be dropping agents now because Ho*els no longer needs you at this point, so you think it really will stay around much longer? You better get yourselves a job!! So maybe the rumor was not so bogus was it? No I did not start the rumor I read this on another very popular wah board so get over it. Good luck!!!!

Sounds like someone is a little testy for giving up a job over a rumor!

Has anyone noticed the state of the economy lately? It makes perfect sense that travel is going to be one of the first areas to suffer, as most of us need all we can make for food and gas these days.

From what I understand, this is a temporary reduction of agents for a limited time. Maybe they want to cut the dead weight? In this case, sounds like it worked!

Wow..well, it's slow everywhere and everyone has to cut back..I guess you were lucky and got out while the getting was good so I don't understand your sour grapes on this issue? It's only a temporary cut back in staffing ;)

Oh and anther thing? I never said *you* started the rumor - only helped in spreading it - BIG difference...

The rumor was not one. We all got our pink slips yesterday. August 8 is our last day on the project.
