Hello everyone. This is my first time posting and would like to say that I love this forum.
I have been reading up on cha cha on this board and saw some great things. I emailed them and they sent me a response back telling me to take some tests. I have not done that as of yet. My husband is military and I spend most of my time on the computer during the day so thought this would be a great opportunity for me, and it sounded like fun. However, I have been researching on cha cha and see that it is a good way to make some money, but only if you are doing a "real" search. They say that 90% of the inquiries are pranksters, so this has me holding back on taking the tests and getting involved. Could someone give me some info about this, and if you find it worth it with such a high percentage rate of non-valid inquiries?
I am not here to bad mouth cha cha, just hereto find out more about this certain situation with it. I really would love to do this as it seems perfect for me.
Thanks so much!

I love ChaCha! I just started with them last week, and I have to admit it's almost addicting. You do get some silly questions, but if you are able to provide them with a witty/or actual answer you get paid .20 per answer. Even if the question appears like a 'prank' you still get paid.
I would say go for it! Take the tests, and if you are accepted as a Guide, try it out. If you like it, stick with it, if you don't, thenjust stop logging in. You can't lose, and the job is extremely flexible.
If you would like a referral, please feel free to PM.
Good luck!

I would agree with the other poster. I have been with ChaCha since almost the beginning. I was a desktop search and now I am doing SMS and LOVING it!! I am making much more money at the SMS answering than I ever did on desktop.smileys/smiley4.gif I make enough an hour for my time that I feel like it is worth it. Also now we get high volume emails to let you know that if you have time there is work. I am almost always busy the whole time I am logged in. I have gotten paid for every search that I have done personally. Good luck with your tests if you decide to take them and watch your time on it because the time does matter on them. smileys/smiley10.gif

iBeleeve,
I'd like a referral to Cha Cha. What is the SMS program there? Can I apply for that with your referral?

you can apply to be a guide with or without a referral--the two options are sms guide and transcription guide, but I do not think that they are hiring for transcription currently. the sms position is much busier though, so if you have an option, go with that.

Thanks a lot guys for all the info. It really helped me. I am going to try it out.
I started to take the test but before that I had to register so I did, however I just read the terms and conditions and saw it needed my social security number. I am really nervous about doing this over the internet, especially not really knowing a lot about the company. This makes me nervous, do you guys think it is ok? I am sure it is ok because you said you have not had any problems with them. Also can you tell me about the acct. I have to set up? I do not want to give my bank acct. info so is there another way of doing this?
Again, thanks so much for answering my questions.
P.S. Do I need referrals? What is that about?

Your social security # is used for the W-9. They are a legit company, with a legit background, and are a lot of fun to work for! I just started with them last week and am loving it.
Once you get accepted as a guide, you can set up your bank info. You don't have to do this until you get accepted. There are 2 payment options: Direct Deposit or a Debit Card through ChaCha. You can chose.
You don't need a referral to sign up, but it may get you in the door quicker. If you would like a referral, feel free to PM me http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif

I LOVE to read success stories! With ALL the work out there that keeps getting posted you can really see how one persons cup of tea is someone elses poison!smileys/smiley3.gif
I have a bad habit of not giving things a REAL try. I am impatient and want the same things I had in my real world job of 11 years from a WAH job. I hope to find that soon but in the meanwhile I am going to be a little more patient and force myself to give these little jobs a good try before passing judgement on them so fast.
I took the CHACHA test a month ago and guess I was not fast enough and did not pass but am going to try again.
The old at first ... saying!
Well good luck to all you home workers and those of you who are still looking for that perfect fit!
Don't forget to look at the Work at Home Coop URL=http://www.workathomecooperative.com/web site.
They are by no means as big and grand as this site but they are just an new upstart who will eventually have a LOT to offer.
