Here it is, almost January and I'm just beginning my January mailing and only have 1 party booked, with a list to call!.

OK, I'm sending out my mailing to good customers and my hostesses and will get on the phone tonight.


I was looking at my calendar last year and am trying to figure out where I got sales. I actually only did 3 parties, and my sales for the month were over $1500 wholesale.

For a one year old, I suggest from the sale flyer: Kiddie Carvival, Soundsl Like Fun Tape (they are discontinuing the tape though we still have the CD. This is awesome and all moms need one!). Cast N Catch, and if she's a girl, Softly Sarah Doll and Dress Up set.


From the not sale catalog, Tangiball, Night Night Bear Book, Block Buddy, Toddler Talk (kids loves phones!), Jiggles, 123 Number Board Books or ABC Board Books, Giant Pegboard, Measure Up Cups and Roll & Play. Busy Bath if pretty fun too.

I just went to the post office today to mail out 3 Hostess Packets. I always send them Flat Rate for $3.85. While I was there I saw that Postal Rates are going up after January 7th....


You better get busy withthose mailings and get them out before the rates go up!

In other words, do you truly want 2006 to start off well...then do what you have to do to make it happen. It may be hard at first, but we all know it will be harder when we are loking at our empty checkbooks!

I got the mailings out! Yeah! And I think I booked a toyraiser, waiting for confirmation. I'll try doing a few calls tomorrow and really hit it Sunday late afternoon. smileys/smiley36.gifI think I'll be OK, I know where I need to be and what I need to do to get there.

Billy really likes it (he's 2). It's got fun activities, a little shape sorter that is within a shape sorter and it keeps him busy. So at 1, the Birthda Boy will grow into it, but will love seeing the cause and effect and being able to make things happen. And as an adult, I like to push the buttons and spin the carnival and ferris wheel too! heheheh. And at that sale price, it's a steal! OK, I sound like a sales person!smileys/smiley2.gif

I need that kick too. I put my goals in my datebook today. High goals but I can do it!! I did not work AT ALL in December and have to make a few calls for bookings for January. Know what is AWEFUL? I was $25.00 away from getting hostesses 50% free merchandise!! But I just didn't have the sales. Something here and there but never a full order. I gave the wholesale to my unit director/sponsor. I have my books sitting here staring me in the face. this thread was inspiring! Thanks Deb!!

You can do it, Deb! From reading your posts this year, I know you
had a great year, so now it is time to do it again!!! I have 7
parties booked for January, but I would like to book a couple
more(especially because I just got a wedding invitation and am going to
have to give one of my parties away), so I'll be on the phone for the
next few days, too! As they say "Just DO it"!!!

Aww the calling oh yes I get back to that on Monday as most people wanted me to wait until after the new year to call! 3 birthday parties booked though but I need to get in high gear. Hubby did buy me new carrying cases last night so that is exciting. I didn't even have to ask!

I need to get a letter out to fish for some more parties myself. January is not too bad with 4, but would love to have more... I also need to order some supplies, but I am just in slow motion!! It has been cold, so I don't want to DO anything! The days it was warmer were spent shopping, so I need to DO SOMETHING to fill that bank account back up!! smileys/smiley36.gif


I also need to mail a package to my girlfriend, but that means a trip to the post office. You would think with DH being a mailman that we would get a discount or he could ship things easier, but no! He has to stand in the same line everyone else does and we get no discount on postage!! And believe me, the benefits DO NOT make up for it!


C'mon, let's hear some more to get me kicked into gear!!
