It's appropriate as they have a 'family style' week as the family around a table....... They even asked us, 'What we did as a family AFTER dinner?'

I was just wondering when you were going to be on. We generally watch that show as a family every week day. Cool!

My son and I were just watching and we saw the commercial for Monday's show after the regular show and we were on it.

My son's eyes were as big as saucers - it was kind of fun.

It will be fun to see the kids reaction on Monday's as well as my husband (as he was out of the country for the taping).

I was telling my girls about you & your dad. They are so excited to see you. That's so cool!

I just asked my husband to set the recording for the show tomorrow night. So now it is taping tomorrow. I have a business meeting tomorrow night .. So, exciting to see you!

Awe......I missed it because I had to take my daughter to karate. Would someone fill us in?

She won $ and a trip to Hawaii. She & her dadmade it to the bonus round, but just couldn't get the last clue. They were truly awesome! I got teary-eyed.

Well Ladies,
I have been 'stewing' over the last 2 months as I knew the results:)

I have to admit that I think EVERYTHING happens in life for a reason. I am a firm believer in that. Maybe I wasn't letting enough 'Joy' in my life?

We had a huge wheel party at my parents and we are just having a light fun gathering this Saturday with our friends who work during the week (just a great reason to get together).

Anyways, I have to admit I was like, "DUH! I am sure EVERYONE knew that answer." I was really hard on myself - being the perfectionist.

Even that night when I got home from taping the show - Homemade Gourmet's catalog JUST arrived that day. I got into bed, was reading it, and a testimony from a fellow director said that her business is a "JOY".
NO JOKE! I was like, "God are you telling me something?"

In retrospect, I think my dad and I both said that our minds shut down when Pat said that all our letters were on the board. CLEARLY, we would get it! Then, when no letters popped up - I think we both were like , "Oh No!".

Since the taping, I go the country town next to us and go to "Dairy Joy". They openedfor the season a week after the show was taped. The owner saw my article in the paper and LOVES the show and calls me her celebrity. Little did she know that "JOY" was the word I didn't get.

I told her she would HAVE to watch. Since then we have become friends.

So, I go all the time to experience my 'joy' and to realize that sometimes we just have be joyful for what we got and not worry what we don't have.

Anyways, that's my story and sticking to it.

We split the cash but both got a trip to take someone on. Darrin was out of town for the taping - but we will probably go in the winter when the weather is cold in Chicagoland.

Thanks for all your kind words. The last few months have been very hard as my husband is gone 17 days a month out of the country. I have been flying solo with the 3 kids and keeping my business strong.

Tonight was a nice breather from everything and to just have FUN!!

Rebecca, we watched you last night--how exciting!

My hubby and I were right with you on the bonus round! We thought, oh, they'll get it because all the letters are there. Then we we saw all but the last three-letter word, we were stumped. Guess I wasn't feeling much joy either last night...lol.

Congrats on the trip! Sounds like you and hubby certainly will need it!
