I haven't made too many scents yet but the worst ones are the flowery scents. Just WAY too strong when making up a big batch! I prefer the food scents myself :)

I was beginning to think I was all alone in here!

Hello. New here and decided to jump on in. smileys/smiley17.gif I hand pour soy candles and the fragrance that I absolutely hate is Black Cherry smileys/smiley35.gif It is extremely strong when making a huge batch and I just really do not like the smell of cherry... it reminds me of the cough medicine my mom would make me take when I was a kid smileys/smiley21.gif

Chocolate Covered Cherries. Bleh. That scent was so awful I hated even being around it. On our way to a craft show once, a bag of melts in that scent was open just slightly and the whole van reeked of it. Luckily we don't have it anymore because there wasn't many that did like it lol.

Florals don't bother me as long as they aren't blends. They have to smell like the real thing for me to like them, and they can't be too much like perfume.

I would have to say that I had a company that I once used for my some of my supplies, but theyhada gingerbread scent that was no where like what you think it should smell like and it would make me sick to smell it. I have learned that from company to company the same scent from two companies can smell like night and day.

Back when I first started making candles in 2001 I did a lot of the Victoria Secret 'type' aromas and when you did Love Spell, Amber Romanceand a few others all in the same day the house would be a little whiffy! LOL

I later started making one fragrance, lavender, which was much softer on the nose!

Then several years laterI eventually stopped making the candles, I sure enjoyed it though!

oh, I can't stand the smell of Lavender. I am not sure why, but it is too strong.

I think I would have to go with Lavendar. I am not a fan of that scent at all, but I think if I had ever poured "campfire smoke" it would win over lavendar. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif

I would have to second the Baby Powder! ughhh......
Also anything with Pine in it or mixed with Pine makes me sick. Candy Cane I like it but it makes my eyes water mixing it. Anything floraly....when I make em' I use vicks under my nose. LOL. I'm sure there's more just can't think right now.

Wow, this thread is a little old, but I figure I'd throw my least fav's in here!
I agree with the florals! Oh man, they make me queezy! Especially Honeysuckle! So does not smell like the real thing...

I also hate Peppermint! It burns my nose and eyes and if you inhale it, it makes you choke.

I haven't gotten sick of Love Spell yet, but I have over 150 fragrances and there are quite a few I don't like...but the florals and peppermint are the worst!
