O.K. I need ideas. I want to create a YouTube Video for Soul Purpose. More like a power point presentation. I may just add music or music AND voice to it, not sure yet. I also found some great videos that I could incorporate into it from istockphoto (which I love) and am about to make some sort of story board.

Hey Tanya I'm with you.

I just did my first youtube vid yesterday as a matter of fact.

Just impromptu b/c I wanted to see how to work the camera and how my voice is conveyed

I will tell you that PowerPoint files won't upload. I tried it with a presentation for my other biz, and I stayed up for hours trying to figure it out yesterday. I finally found 2 programs that let you convert Power Points to Flash...and then even then, if you have music it wouldn't convert the music for me...so I downloaded ANOTHER program that allows you to save MP3 songs on the presentation. I am testing that as we speak to see if it will transfer the music to flash.

Tanya, you are so on it...you know how many VIEWS you will get? A percentage are bound to show interest and some join. iStock is perfect. I have that also.

I just can't wait to get our websites up so people can go their to order.

Tanya...one thing I would probably do is be sure to include something that will encourage interaction. That's one of the biggest things. You want to incite them to action. I would suggest something like a scavenger hunt in the video(s) that would allow the viewers to win products. I do these alot within my other business and will be adding this to my SP biz as well.

Tanya, I got something better.

After being frustrated with the converting I finally went to google (duh Keisha) and typed it in...I got a program that has a free 30 day trial and then after that $49 or $59 one time.

But the info I gave you before...don't waste your time on those b/c they are .SWF files instead of WAV, WMV, etc...and it won't upload to YouTube.

This program HERE (finally) actually converts any PowerPoint to YouTube (it specifically says it lol). Here ya go: http://www.ppt-to-dvd.com/powerpoint-to-youtube-overview.html...it just takes a long time to convert.

Now you all have some great ideas! One thing I did before I started searching for movie maker programs was go to my own Windows program files and guess what I found? Windows Movie Maker! One thing that is crazy cool about iStock photo is that they have little mini videos you could use as well. I am not sure which ones to purchase but I am leaning towards "heavens door" and the Women with her child working from home. I do Jewelry (in the spirit of Pampering), and travel...but I don't do the travel at my Pamper parties..just put a biz card in the gift bags.
I actually will display the jewelry and the SP stuff...

I'm gonna do a left right game, 2 winners, one a free piece of jewelry the other will be spa or SP related. I am going to have them try on the jewelry first so they get the SP products on the jewels. lol

Since it was my first time, I pretty much "winged it" and just added someframes with wording, added music, pictures and made darn sure my web site link showed up on some of the frames and my contact information at the end. smileys/smiley36.gif

It froze up on me a few times because I think I tried working too fast with it, but I tamed it...LOL. I will be happy to give you some tips but I may just freeze up your computer from a distance....LOL


The only thing I did not touch was all the fancy transition/animation (or whatever)effects because I know I would have messed it all up and it would have froze up on me again. The timing is a little over 5 minutes so I hope that is o.k. for YouTube.

Oh my goodness. I just had the same idea today about making a you tube video. I was going to do like a commercial with products, etc...

Oooh I just thought of something that may be fun for you "You Tubers". Record yourself doing "on the spot" product reviews. You know...going up to people to get their opinions on the products.

I think you did a fine job! I can't wait to see your other videos and yes we should all do videos pertaining to the products and interview customers for testimonials too! I love WEb 2.0 because FREE advertising is key!

Also, one of my team members was even interviewed on Blog Radio and I featured her in the Spotlight section on our team web site. She did a fantastic job! I am going to see if we can get some radio exposure out here at a local station. Oooh Keisha this is sooooo exciting! I'm a Soldiers' Angel (have you heard of that organization? If not sign your husband up www.soldiersangels.org). We provide support to our troops overseas by "adopting a soldier". I'm also on the letter writing team. I send a letter or card to a member of the military. I get a different person twice a week. It's an awesome experience. There's also a special group on our forum for military spouses to get support.
