Hi Nondy,

Can you expandon what was said about the Lifetime Guarantee? Is it on all products or selected products in the line?

Thanks,
Catherine

I believe I read that the team commission will surpase other companies
by starting at 10%. I also read that we will make 25% commission
on product sales and we take our commission up front, no sending in all
the money and waiting for a check. Brenda, please correct me if I am
wrong or read the email wrong!! But isn't it sounding great so
far? Oh, and I think it is the cookware that has a lifetime warranty.
We will find out more of course as things progress.

Ctheine,

I PM'd you the notes I received and this is where I got that information. Keep
in touch, and have a wonderful Holiday Season! Sorry for the delayed
response, I had to actually work a 1/2 day at the salon (I am an esthetician).

Hello there. Let's see. It's the flatware and cookware that will have the lifetime warranty. I double checked on that today. I am saying that because I have had a few people misunderstand the email that was sent. How great is that? Our hostesses could actually earn a great set of flatware for free and it actually has a lifetime warranty!!

As far as the comp. plan goes, we wil make 10% off our group volume when we reach the leadership level of "director" (which is the first level of leadership). Of course there will be more to the comp plan but it hasn't been released. We can watch the corp site and see if they post it there. It has made it through legal so it's just up to them when they decide to post it. smileys/smiley1.gif

There is really so much happening. It's really going to be terrific!!

One other thing I wanted to mention because it's been asked about is that we will have both Hostess Specials and Customer Specials each month. Customers will need to have a minimum order of $30 to qualify to purchase the special.

Also, can you believe the way that they are going to be getting new items?!?! 100 new items!!! That's incredible. What a great way to keep our customers and hostesses coming back for more.

All I can say is that I am so happy to have found this company already. Bill really has put together a terrific plan for us!!!

Thanks to everyone. As always, let me know if you have more questions. I will answer as soon as I can. smileys/smiley1.gif

Do you know how many of these items will be made in the USA? One thing that really disappoints me with Southern Living at Home is that almost all of their products are made outside of the USA.

I honestly don't know Tamra, but I will ask and I'll email you when I get an answer. smileys/smiley1.gif

It's pretty hard to offer as many products as we will without having something imported. And with the way that we intend to continue to offer new items, it would be hard to continue to offer USA made items all the time.

I do know that what we offer is high quality products and will be well made no matter what country they may come from. We are dedicated to bringing great products at reasonable prices. smileys/smiley1.gif

I'm not very familiar with Taste Of Home Magazine, but this company sounds exactly like Southern Living at Home. I've hosted 2 Southern Living at Home shows before and love their products. I know the $30 for the customer special is the same.

I have a home based home dec/sewing business.

I checked out the website and the website even looks like Southern Living. I'm just curious from a business point of view about why Taste of Home is so similar toSouthern Living at Home . How are they going to stand out. Is itmore kitchen oriented?? Pots and pans and so forth?

I'm not in a party plan, and not real sure how that all works. Do new companies do that often? If a new toy company started, would it mimic Discovery Toys business plan?

Just trying to figure out how all this works.

Up to my eyeballs in thread! Kay

Hello Kay,

Well, I would say the first reason why they look the same is that Bill Shaw is behind Taste of Home Entertaining and he also was at Southern Living and helped to make them as strong as they are now. That is the biggest reason why they are looking the same on the business end.

Another reason why things might look the same is that often times in the style side of things there are trends. It would be crazy for a clothing store to sell tube tops and mini skirts if the current trend is with halter's and capri's. It is what people want. And to make sure that we continue to offer what people want, the catalog will always be evolving to bring in new items. Most of our items will also be EXCLUSIVE to TOHE.

As far as other similarities, I would say that most of all the party plan companies are similar in many respects. They will have some different aspects of their company, but basically it will resemble another company.

All in all, we may look similar to you now, but I think that Taste of Home Entertaining will distingish itself in the industry quite quickly. smileys/smiley1.gif

Please let me know if you have any more questions. If you'd like to have a catalog party when we get going, I'd love to set that up with you. Just let me know. smileys/smiley2.gifsmileys/smiley36.gifsmileys/smiley32.gif

Hi Tamara,

Although I still don't know the percentage of items that will be made here in the USA, I can tell you that Bill learned some valuable lessons about product quality and availability through SLAH growing pains.

As a result, he's contracted with leading manufacturers for each product category to produce exclusively-designed products just for Taste of Home Entertaining.

The upside here is that these are companies who have already figured out how to produce and deliver on time, in volume, and at high quality.

Hope this eases your mind and if you would like, I'd be happy to put you on my catalog list. smileys/smiley1.gif
