Hi Ladies, I have thought about making a scrap book for my business to show at my parties. Maybe as a recruiting tool. Any advice would be great!

I had a party once where the consultant made up a scrapbook. She had all her air line tickets for the trips she won through her company, pictures of her yearly conventions, pictures of the parties she's done, pictures of the trips she had taken. People really liked looking through it because it did show that you CAN do the stuff they say you can and that it's just not talk.
I think it's a good idea.Make one up and then let people look at it before the show and after you're done with your presentation.

You could title the first page "Why I sell XYZ"
and then have pics throughout...
a free product you got</span>,
a new friend you made</span>,
picture from a trip you earned</span>,
the electric bill you pay every month</span>,
a picture of your kids with something about being able to spend more time with them</span>,
smileys/smiley1.gifetc.</span>

I can help you make a real PUBLISHED book for your shows easily! You could even make multiple copies and loan them out to people who are interested in what you do so they can read them and show them to their spouses etc.

I like the "Why I sell XYZ" idea. I think I would keep it simple though. The company, hostess benefits, retail profits, commission scale, incentives, the people and of course the family.
The Company - Talk about it's owners, leaders, products, mission statement, catalog cover, business card, ect. Talk about why you choose them in the first place.
Hostess Rewards - Show some pictures of hostess exclusive products if you company has them. Go ahead and use pictures from the catalog if you have them. I only say this because it's not a real scrapbook that you are preserving pictures in. If that was the case I would say DON'T!! LOL Have a picture of a very happy hostess and maybe show her with all the stuff she earned.
Retail Profits - Show a class total and then show how much is yours. Maybe show a picture of something you were able to purchase with your profits.
Commission Scale - This is basically all you need on here. If your company offers a car or something, show a picture of that too. If you have a team, you can show some pictures of your team doing parties if you have them.
Consultant Incentives - Give some examples of past incentives. If you have won these, then use your plane ticket or trip brochure. If not, show info about it anyway. After all, it helps to remind you too.
The People - Pictures of you holding a class, the catalog cover, your hostesses, your guests. Show them having FUN. LOL
And last but not least, your family portrait. That is the bottom line.
This should be a good start. LOL I would also suggest an 8x8 album. It's smaller and easier to add to your party tote.
Let me know if you need more help. My other company is a scrapbook company. smileys/smiley2.gif

I definately have tons of ideas. Thanks girls. One of the things I really wantto put in is my recruits pictures. I have gotten really close to some of them and made some great friends already!
A scrap book you can always add to right. The pages are removable so you can add in the middle if you need to?
Which scrap company are you with Brenda?

Hi Jody,
If you get a post bound album you can always get extenders if you make a thick album. The layouts (pages) will slide into page protectors and you will be able to rearrange anytime. I have rearranged mine on more than a few occassions. smileys/smiley2.gif
However, if you do rearrange too often and take the pages out each time, you're going to take a chance of something happening to your pages.
I am with Leaving Prints scrapbooking company. www.MyLPbiz.com (http://www.MyLPbiz.com). Let me know if you have any more questions. You can find me at "TasteofHmEnt" on AOL, MSN and Yahoo messengers and my email is palstring@cox.net.
Good luck with your book!
