Hello! I was just thinking I would like to make some scent sachets to give with my xmas gift baskets of mia bella candles.

I have some grated votives in little plastic bags. Do I just put one of those in the organza bag?

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Hi Penny!! Here issome info that will help you make your Sachets!! Good Luck and Happy Holidays!! smileys/smiley2.gif
Instructions for Scent-Sachets ( 3 per votive)...<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Organza Scent Sachet:

Gather the materials below before beginning.
You will need the following:

3 - 2x3 zip lock plastic bags
3 - 3x4 zip lock plastic bags
3 - 3x4 Organza bags (any color)
1 -Mia Bella Votive
Knife & Cutting Board

Instructions:

Remove the wick by pulling on the disc at bottom of votive. Place your votive on the cutting board. Before cutting, use your knife to scourthe votive with 2 lines. This way you will have 3 equal parts for each bag (or close to). Run your knife under warm water fora few secondsto makethevotiveeasier to cut. Cut into thirds. After each cut, move that part away to keep the partsequal. Open you 2x3 bag & place 1 of theportions of the votive into the bag. Repeat with the other 2 portions with the remaining 2 bags. Make sure all are sealed. Sometimes the candle will not break when you cut it, soyou may have to break it in half to fit in the bag. Now that you have 3 bags(2x3) with the votive portions in each, start 'mushing'! Use your fingers to break up the large piecesuntil it becomes a powder like state. There should be NO lumps. When that is done, grab an organza bag(3x4) & slip the inner2x3 bag into it. Fold down the extra portion of the plastic bag (the part you pull apart to open it), fold that down on one side. Grab both sides of the draw string to close the organza bag. Take one draw string and bring it to the front keeping it flat. Repeat with the other draw string. Place the organza sachet into the larger 3x4 zip lock plastic bag. Close. Repeat2 more times. This will keep the scents for cross-mixing with others. Done :-) You now have 3 Scent-Sachets.

Hi, Penny! If you want to make smaller sachets -I got the small size organza bag and just made up scent samples as usual in the little craft ziplock bags - I filled them to the top and got about 12 out of them and used 8 (because I only had 8 organza bags) Then I took a tiny pin and poked a couple tiny holes in the ziplock and the scent was amazing! They are cute and little. It depends on the size you want to make them.

Thanks guys! (gals :)

I wondered if I should poke holes in the baggie to help the scent escape...not too big, since I don't want the powder to come out all over everything. LOL

I think these would be cute little air fresheners for the car, as well as closets, drawers, basements...the list goes on and on!

Everyone have a wonderful Holiday!!! I'm getting excited!
