Madison's first "Candle Goddess!"

I would have loved a candle called "candy cane" this season. I love our
candles, but I do believe they could use some help in their marketing
dept. for coming up with new names. The one thing I dislike, with the
exception of a few (such as Sex on the beach &amp; Tequila Sunrise), is the candle names are too basic. For instance
candy cane is more appealing to me than peppermint. Or even gingerbread
man, rather then just gingerbread. If you take a look at Yankee candle
(which I know our candles are better than) the one advantage I think
they have are their labels and names. There is another company that I
am a fan of called Philosophy which has a line of shower gels, I often
wish I had candles of the same name. I hope I am making sense here.....

You know how our Banana Nut Bread you can actually smell the banana, the spice and the nuts?


Well one day I was making a cake and thought it'd be a great candle "Pineapple Upside Down Cake" Imagine a pineapple candle with a brown sugary undertone and a hint of cherry. YUM!


They wrote back and they are actually already in the developement process of a pineapple candle! Not sure if it is 'plain' pineapple or a blend but will be refreshing!

I love pinapple!! I would love to see some sort of tropical blend, maybe something that even smells like tropical tanning oil!! Of course with a different name! Can you tell i live in florida??? lol


I too would love different blends with unique names!! I see other candle companies with very creative names, one i am thinking of is "monkey farts". I think that is bittersweet? But it offers INTRIGUE and for people to say, what is that??


That is what i would change about our candles if i could.

How about a Cold Remedy type Candle. Eucalyptus/Menthol Candle? LOL..actually, my friend came up with it cause she had a cold and was burning her Christmas Eve jar. She mentioned it it had some menthol type scent wafting through the air, it would help people with colds during the season.


Just an idea! Ha!


Or how about, a woodsy,musky scent with suede type undertones?Very sexy.


And for ValentinesDay, maybe a Sweet Vanilla/Rose Musk? Hubba hubba!

OOOH actually a eucalyptus/spearmint is a really nice scent - resembling one of the bath and body type of scents.

That's what my daughter says "Home for the Holidays" reminds her of - Red Hots! They could re-name it for Valentines! LOL!

Also a more coffee smelling scent (white choc and coffee doesn't smell like coffee to me) maybe a hazelnut or french vanilla coffee


The suntan lotion coconut tropical scent (like hawaian tropic) I would buy a case for myself!!) I know we have coconut lime but it isn't quite the same.


Banana split or banana cream pie could beyummy too


I also want one that smells like fresh baked french bread or buns.


Ilove the scents they got for the pillars - I want those in the regular line too - especially the ginger and cedarwood.

Wow, you guys have some great ideas! I love the pineapple upside down cake, that sounds awesome! And the coconutty suntan lotion scent, I would love that too.


What about one that would be like one of those fruity drinks (I call them froo froo drinks) like bananaberry smoothie or something along those lines?


And more coffee scents too... french vanilla and hazelnut were already mentioned and I love mocha/chocolate flavors and scents! How about chocolate chip cookie or double fudge brownie (can you tell I love chocolate, lol). I think those scents stir up that comfort feeling that you get when you smell something that reminds you of when you were a kid.

DH would like to smell Dark Chocolate Rose, Wisteria and Vanilla and Key Lime Pie. He normally doesn't like floral scents so I was surprised that he combined 2 florals with sweets. lol


I agree that some of the names could be a little more creative. I think changing Big Bad Grape to Sangria was a good move. Sangria certainly sounds more appealing and seductive than a Big Bad Grape. smileys/smiley36.gif
