HI everyone I am kinda well really looking at this opp. I was just wondering how do you sell the candles? Do you buy at wholesale & resale or get orders and then place order. How do you get paid do customers have to pay cash or what? I am more looking at just selling or fundraisers than recruiting is that okay? Thats all I can think of now I am sure I will think of more.I was with AmeriPlansmileys/smiley11.gifjust not my cup of tea in order to really make you had to do lots of recruiting.and I think I prefer selling something I like

Hi Ameriplan_girl,
I can say that I have been in the same place you are right now. I am truly sorry that you are so frustrated right now. But you know, try looking at the positive in your situation. Maybe it was that you were suppose to be with us here. And the only way you would have gotten here was by joining someone that did not have your best interest at heart.
If you would like, you can give me a call and we can talk. It is on me!
Many Blessings,
Natalie

You don't have to worry about recruiting unless you want to. If you want to work on just sales and make the profits off of retails and fundraisers, that's ok too! I've been making a real nice profit with retail!
How I started was with the Candle of the Month I also placed another order for a couple cases of votives. Show your product - let people smell it - I believe you get a sample brochure in your first package if I'm not mistaken. You can show them the various scents available and tell them you are planning to put an order in and will be accepting orders up to a certain date. They pay you cash, check, whatever form of payment you'd like to accept. You can fill a case order with all pre-sales - or really all you need to do is gather about 7-8 orders, pick and choose a few other scents to start a little "inventory" for you. Place the order - you've collected enough in pre-orders to cover your entire cost!
If you work, keep a couple candles on your desk as teasers lol.... they will want to comeover justto smell them :)

Well we are all here to share and be supportive. I can understand your frustration as well if I had a sponsor as you describe. I am lucky and haven't had one like that, however I have heard stories of such.
I know you are getting a lot of info now from various members and I don't want to infringe! Just yell if you are looking for more specific information and I'm sure we can answer what we can!

MIA BELLA ADDICT</font></font>
to add to our family! smileys/smiley36.gif smileys/smiley2.gif smileys/smiley36.gif smileys/smiley2.gif smileys/smiley32.gif
Ameri-Girl, just a fair warning- this company is FANTABULOUS, the
candles are positively ADDICTING, and our job is just
WAY TOO MUCH FUN!!!!smileys/smiley36.gif
We purchase jar candles and votives by the case. 12 jars to a case and 12
votives to a case. Scents can be any combo you like with jars, but votives
come all one scent to a box.
You may set any price you wish for your products, but the company has a
suggested retail price for everything. You should factor in your costs for
shipping, taxes etc. when quoting a price to your customers.
When you join COTM, your profit margin when you sell product at SRP can
be up to 100% on several products! It's an incredible deal, and the
residual income compensation plan is STAGGERING! Have you browsed
through a company website yet? You can click on any on of our links to
get a full overview of the company and the program on our company-
sponsored websites.
Keep those questions a-coming, and perhaps soon you too will be a

Hi Ameriplan_girl,
Right now, we are required to order by the case. There are 12 jar or votives to a case. Shipping is usually around $14 for the jars and $5-7 for the votives.
Hope that helps!
Many Blessings,
Natalie

At this time we need to order the candles by the case. That was also a HUGE hesitation for me. I didn't think I could do it. A case of candles is 12 jars - these can be various scents. Votive cases are 12 votives of the same scent. I wasn't sure if I would be able to pull off a case order - so I chose to focus on getting fundraisers because of course you can fill case requirements EASY! What happened to me ended up being quite the surprise.
When I first took my samples to work, by the end of the day I had pre-orders (and payments) for 8 jars. That gave me MORE than enough to pay for the full case- so I chose scents I thought would sell easily. I got my shipment in, handed out the pre-paid orders, and within the next day or two my remaining 4 candles SOLD.
I've been doing it this way ever since! I just let them know that I've got an order going in and would love to add theirs to it if they are ready! PAYDAY is a good day to choose :)

OOOH Shipping......... I found it depends on your location. Natalie and I are in the south and it's around $14 for the case of jars. I had an order drop shipped to NY and it ended up being just over $10.

Here are some things you may want to do so as not to make the same mistake you made with AmeriaPlan -
First, decide what you are looking for in an upline and sponsor. What type of support do you want and what are your expectations of your sponsor? Interview a few and make a business decision based on what YOU are looking for.
Pretend you are interviewing each of them to go to work for you, because you ARE doing just that.
Second, decide what methods you want to use to work the business and determine what tools are available to you to do this. Again, what is important to you in these areas.
Third, try our product and determine if it is going to be a fit for you! The best way to do this is to sign up for COTM and burn the jar, pass out the votives and shower with the soap! Get familiar with your team support and then decide if this is for you.
I'm guessing you'll decide very quickly that you have made the right choice!
Good luck and enjoy this awesome holiday and candle season!

I think depending on the scent a few leave a bit on the sides and
you have to burn it for like 3-4 hours .....
With our candles we have the cool and clean burn and I personally
burn mine for a long time and they do burn even. Hope that helps!

Greetings Ameriplan Girl!
I congratulate you on your decision to call and interview different sponsors. I believethis is an important step in growing a successful business. I orginally joined under a friend who thenleft the company (silly I know!) so I was bumped toa sponsor that is very difficult to track down. smileys/smiley5.gif So I have to go a few levels up when Ihave a question!
That is one thing I take pride in, Ihave beena WAHM since 2002 so I am home all day long and available via email, Yahoo IM and phone. I want my team to succeed and I'm here to help! My team's success = my success!
Best wishes on your search!
