Hi All,

I am thinking of creating my own personal website for Scent-Sations. But I wanted to get some feedback from those of you that do have you own sites now. Have they been effective for you? What would you say the pros and cons are to having your own site.

TIA!

Many Blessings,

Natalie

Hi Natalie:

From everything I've read and heard about direct marketing, it's a good idea to have your own personal website. Search engines really don't work with corporate sites because they areall the same. It also gives you the opportunity to let people know a little bit about you. I wanted something simple that linked directly to my scent-team site. I didn't want people to have to spend all day reading too much - I thought they might get turned off if there was too much info. I haven't had much feedback from people about it (although I really like it), but my newest distributor really thought it was nice.

Hope this helps a little.

Barb

Hi Barb,

Thank you so much for your response. I actually was on a call last night with one of my other companies and that was exactly what they were talking about. It is much more powerful to have an individual site as opposed to a corporate site. Not that having one is bad at all. You just get recognized more with your own original content.

Well, I guess I will be working on that next week since I have the week off. Can not wait to see how I fair! LOLsmileys/smiley36.gif

Thanks again Barb!

Many Blessings,

Nat

I love my personal site, if nothing more than for exposure and expression :)

I don't honestly think I would be in the position I am in with this company or the industry in general if not for a personal site.

I have sponsored 12 people this month, all who have come to me online, through my site. This with shopping, wrapping, baking, kids and family stuff, etc.

There is NOTHING that will take the place of a personal site. What else will work for you while you are at the mall, on vacation, sleeping, etc?

Hi Ladies,

Can you tell me what programs you are using in order to create you sites. I was really leaning towards using a site builder but what to see if that was anything else out there that you all preferred!

Many Blessings,

Natalie

When I first got a site, I went with SuccessfulMom (https://www.securepaynet.net/gdshop/rhp/default.asp?isc=&se=%2B&pl_id=106435&prog_id=succe ssfulmom) and used their basic package, then their Website Tonight package. They provided good service, and I've called support a time or two and they were always there providing answers.

Since I decided to grow my site into something a little more, I decided to go with WAHMdrive (http://www.wahmdrive.com/) because it has what I need as I grow. I don't use all the services now, but knowing they are there for me at no extra cost, that is a definite perk!

Hi, Nat. I use godaddy's website tonight. It is simple to use, just like a word processor. I haven't had any problems with it.

Also, you have to be careful and not use the MIA BELLA name on your site or include pictures of the candles. You can link to the corp site products pages though.

I have had some people comment that they liked my site. I know I personally like to see a personal site rather than a corporate site.

I really need to re-vamp mine though. I think I have too much info.
