I am wondering if it would be a good idea for me to make district manager if I don't have anyone on my team. I fear that I wouldn't be able to maintain what I need to. I have been trying to get business builders with no luck. Any thoughts?

I am in a similar situation, and it is stressful. I made DM in November
and I am unsure If i will get the December sales needed. I have 4 in my
downline, 1 is a BB, but as of late all we are hearing is "Talk to me
again in January" etc. I believe after you promote you have a 2 month
grace period, but if you dont have at least 1 BB under you I wouldnt
reccommend it unless you think January is going to be a strong month.

Remember, once you promote you will have a two month building period that you won't be required to meet your maintenance of $2,500 for your District, during that time all your volume from those two months gets placed into your performance account. After those 2 building months, if you don't meet your maintenance requirements, it will be drawn from your performance account.

I do understand the 2 month grace period, which is wonderful!

Still, I am wondering if it would be good to try to get DM. I could easily get it by the end of January but I don't have anyone under me at all...no wholesale buyers and no BB's.

I guess my question is more this: What would you do? Would you push yourself and shoot for DM with no one on your team or would you wait and not push so hard?

Thanks!

Cindi...just a thought but who's to say that between now & the end of January you won't find any business builders? Think positive, write down your goals & affirmations, put forth your activity and watch what happens!

I am in qualification for DM now. I don't have any BB, but I am for sure pushing. I don't see any reason to wait. I think alot of people put off decision making at this time of year. I want to be in a position to rock & roll when a BB finally comes on!

I would go for it as soon as you can. Forward momentum is a good thing, and once you start seeing those checks that include 8% on your own sales as well, it is very motivating! I didn't "get it" until I got to DM and then realized I wanted to share this with people, and my passion kicked up a notch and I got my first BB in my last month of DM qualification.

She almost made it, then her mother died and her uncle died within 2 weeks of one another, so she fell short. But the next month I met another BB who signed up with her daughter and they both went for DM in two months, so that all went into my performance account, and since they promoted out, I got 2 more months in my PA to build. By then, my first BB was back and ready to go. So you never know what will happen, but you have to be ready for ANYTHING. But now that I am getting 8% on them and all their downline, I am more motivated to help them build their business and get to DM. It is worth it to get ther as soon as you can, and don't give up. Youmay find a BB where you least expect it!

Yes, Definitely Go for it! If you are doing so well that you could qualify on only your own efforts, imagine how great you'll be doing when you get a few WB's and BB's under you!

I'm really impressed!http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley32.gif
