I hope you all don't mind me sharing my enthusiasm right now. I'm just too darn excited! I've been meeting with my sponsor and finding the right places within IC to really get me started. It all just makes so much sense! We are struggling financially right now so our initial investment into Arbonne is rather questionnable at this time. But now that I've figured out the REsults Approach, I feel like I need 8 sets to get started! I know of SOOO many people I could drop these off with, it will be hard to be patient! How many sets would you recommend I start with? My sponsor told me I would grow fast with three new drop-off's a week. That certainly seems doable, but it means I'd need a lot of kits and i don't know if I can afford that right now, and I'm worried that not everyone wouldjump right into purchasing the Re9 set. Any suggestions?
WoooHoo! Let's rock n roll!

I am excited for you! Arbonne is such an amazing opportunity!
Maybe you could get by with purchasing 2 sets of the RE9 and getting the PWP travel sets with them ($45 each). Then you have 4 "sets." Only 2 are full-size but you will at least have more you can get out there. Just a thought! Let us know how it goes!

8 sets? That's alot! What would happen if you then find after doing the first few REsults Approaches that you would rather do the group presentations? Especially if you are not financially in a place to do so without using credit. This is not a get rich quick scheme, it is hard work. I just want you to be prepared. I would say 4 at the very most, but if direct sales is new to you (I know it's not for you) I would even say to start with 2 sets, and yourupline may be able to loan you a few if needed.

Hi, I am new to Arbonne also. What I did was purchase 2 sets. I drop off 2 sets on Monday with a scheduled meeting for Wednesday. Then I had 2 drop offs on Wednesday with scheduled meetings on Friday. This has worked well for me. I get my 4 in for the week and do not have to purchase more sets. (as of yet). AsI make more money then I may invest in more sets but for right now this works for me.
Just remember, if someone has not used their pup and want to keep it longer just explain that you have someone else waiting for it and they have to reschedule. If they reschedule then they really want to try it, if they don't then it must not be that important to them. And you can bet that when they get their turn, they will use it.
I really hope this helps :o)

Everyone has their own situation. I do one-on-one presentations and some business op meetings. I went with 8 ladies and 3 mens sets. All are out and have a waiting list for others to try.
I will have every set out on Friday 12/23 and let them useit through Tuesday.Repeat the process during the holiday week and make sure all are out for the New Year's weekend.I think it will be a great opportunity for them to enjoy the holiday using Arbonne and tell their friends and relatives about it and hopefully gather additional contacts from each kit out there.
My goal is to generate lots of interest over the holidays where my users can try the product, consider the business potential and include Arbonne and myself as part of the 2006 New's Year's resolution.
It would be nice to start Jan. 2006 with people ready to run with me!!!

Cindi, I never thought about the travel sets. That's a great idea!
Cassandra, I hope you didn't laugh too hard at my post smileys/smiley36.gif I know I'm laughing.smileys/smiley17.gif Oh how I know 8 would be way too many! It's just my excitement gets the best of me and I need to figure out the system to make sure that I don't lose any potential leads while waiting on sets. I'm so glad to know that you guys keep us all in a good reality check!
JeniJeanne, I PM'ed you. Your system sounds like something I'd like to incorporate into my business.
Albaat, sounds like a plan! This certainly is the time of year when many are thinking about how to do things differently. I hope it brings lots of success your way!

Leah, I wasn't laughing at your post at all,I've seen people have terrific success with the REsults Approach and others no success. Not saying you, but some people just aren't cut out for the REsults Approach, either not outgoing enough, or organized enough, or whatever.... because to get out 8 sets a week, you've got to be outgoing and organized!
Me-- I'm outgoing, but I'm hardly organized! smileys/smiley36.gif I've started a new "plan" though for the family calender, each of us (5) gets a certain color pen and that has to be the ONLY calender we use!smileys/smiley4.gif I also had to figure out my "business hours" and stick with them! (still having trouble with thatsmileys/smiley36.gif)

Hi
Just to tag on , the travel sets don't really do for this system because they are not able to be shared in a sanitary way. Only two of the products are in pumps, and the day, eye and night cream are in tubs that, even if people use spatulas, are likely to get contaminated and wasted. The full size sets are in the pumps which are metered so they get the right amount, etc. It would be better to give someone a sample pack than the travel pack, if you are going to spend the money, $45 would get about 20 sample packs. Neither go towards volume for promotion, so it wouldn't matter either way.
Also, for myself, I do a combo of one on ones and classes. I find the RE9 set is not what my target audience is likely to buy. I find the RE9 set is only good for a foot in the door, and they will then listen to my spiel and look at the catalog. Most of my friends are students or in ministry or young moms on one income, and are more interested in the basic set or a few other products, or hosting a party to get bonus products.
But I have not had much luck selling the full size set, it is just not what is selling for me. I only have two full size sets, and one clear advantage set . I have actually sold a ton of those, more of my contacts are more worried about acne than aging! And I have small plastic tubs with lids that I put a small sample of the salt scrub in, the shampoo sample in the demo tote. I do have one men's set, too, my husband uses it and has talked it up to some of his friends and I've sold a few of those.
I think the Results approach is too limiting with just the RE9 set. We have so many other good products that are effective and affordable. I would not invest in 8 sets just to get started, I would get a variety, like 2 sets, a Clear Adv. set and a men's set, and some samples.
But I am only a lowly DM, so you might not want to listen to me. smileys/smiley2.gifI am not "MOVING FAST" because I am not pushing the RE9 sets and can't afford to buy any more myself anyway. I am slowly building in a way I am comfortable and that works for me right now. I do have one on my team who got 4 sets by buying 3 and getting one in her $100 for $20 bonuses. She works full time and it works for her.

Cassandra, knowing me even if I DID have 8 sets, I'd probably run and scream with them, and after those 8, stand around scratching my head. smileys/smiley36.gif It's just that I can identify 8 people as "target" people right at the very beginning and I don't know who to start with and who to let wait. Hope that makes sense! Congrats for working out your schedule. Those business hours can make a tremendous impact on your business and family life...when you stick to them! Keep up the good work! smileys/smiley32.gif
Anet, thank you for the input! Ididn't think about the fact that the travel sets weren't all in pumps. And you know, I'm 30 years old. My immediate friends will likely not be as interested in the RE9 set. Are you, or anyone else, doing appointments with other sets (like the basic line) or just the sample packets?

I have lots of 30 yr olds using the re9 sets! Unless someone is extremely oily or has extemely sensitive skin, the re9 is working very well! To me, this line sets Arbonne apart from department store brands, etc. It is made to work together & does a great job! What are you personally using now? You will be your best testimonial & I can tell your excitement will shine through!

I'm 24 and I use the RE9 set. I LOVE IT!!! But I am all about prevention. My esthetician noticed how muchbetter my skin looked, especially around the eyes so don't let young age fool you.
I am interested in knowing if people are doing one on ones with other sets also. The RE9 set (money wise) isn't for everyone even with the wholesale discount.

I don't demo the other sets because they are not in bottles for the most part, either. I still use the RE9 as a foot in the door, but I don't sell many of them. I am in my mid thirties and I use it because I order when I have extra host specials or whatever. But there is no way I would get it, no matter how much I loved it with out that. I am a SAHM with 4 kids and my husband works at our church, so the luxury of the RE9 would not be in our budget. And since most of my warm market is in the same boat, one income, many are in ministry, I just don't push it too hard.
Many have tried it and then gotten their mom or aunt or grandma to buy it, and then gotten the basic or mix and match for themself. I have a few customers in their late 20s that use it and love it, but they are single and have good jobs! Other than that, I give sample packs of the basic line or individual packets from the bio matte or bio hydria line and people pick and choose. I have had several people (jokingly) tell me they are mad at me for giving them the demo set because they love it but know they can't buy it. And I know they mean it, because I know their situation. I could not in good conscience encourage them to buy it anyway. Some of them may do a class to earn some discounted stuff and that works for me, too!
ten years ago when I was single and working full time I would have had boatloads of people to demo stuff to. Now I don't get out much, I homeschool and have a baby who naps a lot, so setting appointments and follow ups is hard to do. It is easier for me to just go out once and do a class/party and see lots of people at once. But I do one on ones when I can, too, because it is hard to get parties booked.

on a slightly different topic..........there was mention about the sanitary nature of the travel size. That's why I only use the full size set for folks to demo. But the night cream nags me as it's in a container and I have yet to figure out a good way to get it out there in a sanitary manner. What is everyone else doing??

that's wonderful Leah!smileys/smiley4.gif then I think that getting 8 sets would be terrific for you!smileys/smiley2.gif
My point was just to say that the REsults Approach is terrific but make sure (if you are putting it on credit cards especially) that this approach is correct for you and your personality before you invest inthat manysets.smileys/smiley1.gif

Just last night at our regional meeting, someone addressed the issue of pick ups & folks who haven't used the set by the pick up date. She says she picks it up whether they have tried it or not. She will leave a sample pack for them to try at their leisure if they are truly interested but her business partner (the RE9 set) leaves with her. She also stressed the importance of setting a solid pick up date and sticking to it.

That is so true. It really throws me when I can't get the set back! I have a hard time connecting with my people. I think a solid appointment set when you do the drop off is the best way to go. Otherwise, you are giving your biz partner the day "off"!

I got theResults kit (4RE9's with gold bags and Sample Packs) after I'd been doing Arbonne for about 6 weeks. I rolled my commision back into my business to afford them. I put out the full size kits WITH a sample pack. I ask my prospect to use the sample, but if they want to purchase the set then they canopen and use the bottles. I don't like the idea of "re-using" the same RE9 set over and over again. Maybe its just me, but I'd be turned of if someone asked me to demo a used kit. Anyway, it seems that is the direction Arbonne wants us to head in. It hasn't been officially said, but I've heard it on training calls, and it even strongly recommends the use of samples in the ReSults Presentation.
My team got together and purchased 100 of each the men's and women's RE9sample packs, so that makes them much more affordable.
Just my thoughts!
