Anyone here with Heritage Makers or know anything about them? The website looks really neat - it is digital scrapbooking and storytelling. I keep wanting to scrapbook, but all the stuff and choices intimidate me!

Hi Kori:
I'm just like you are! Very intimidated by scrapbooking, although I love
all the supplies and am in awe of how creative people can be!
As for Heritage Makers, I've been looking into it for the past couple of
months and am getting ready to sign up soon. If you like, I can give you
the name and contact info of the woman I've been in touch with and she
can better answer all your questions.
i also would like to add that Once Upon A Family, the company I currently
represent, is also great for those who don't scrapbook (I think Heritage
Makers will complement this nicely). The Once Upon A Family products
are designed to help you create memories by starting new family
traditions and then help you preserve these memories in very simple
ways. The emphasis is definitely on simple!
So, for example, we have our Treasured Traditions books. These are
books that are specific for a holiday. I recently purchased the Hallowed
Tradition book. It has a beautiful pumpkin cover in 100% silk. It is blank
inside with 25 fold out pages. All I have to do each year is paste in a
picture of my children in their costumes. When the pages are unfolded,
eventually I can see my children over the years, what they wore and how
they've grown. There are similar books for Father's Day, Mother's Day,
Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day and Christmas, just to name a few.
Sorry for the long post -- I get so excited when I talk about our products!
By the way, if you are interested in signing up with Once Upon A Family, f
you do so this month, you have the opportunity to qualaify to be an
"Honorary Founder." This is possibly the last opportunity to earn this
designation.
If you have any questions about anything, please feel free to ask!

Thanks for the info - it really sounds neat. I am totally just looking into this for personal use - not to be a consultant, but thanks!

Hi Kori:
I wasn't sure what you were looking for, but figured it couldn't hurt to
bring up the consultant opportunities! smileys/smiley2.gif Heritage Makers produces a
very nice quality product and you can't go wrong with them. Another
company is Cherish Bound, although I haven't seen their products in
person.
I am much more comfortable doing things digitally so these companies
are right up my alley. I think the only disadvantage to these products is
you don't get the same kind of creativity you get with scrapbooking. I
mean the embellishments and textures and things like that.
I know digital scrapbooking using programs like Photoshop is another
scrapbooking outlet. Maybe someone here has experience with that and
can share their experiences? I would love it if there were some kind of
WAHM business for that!
Take care...
