...are having a hard time with the start-up cost?
I know that was my problem. I would've signed up two months ago had I had the money to do so then. Even now, signing up has hurt my pocketbook somewhat, but I feel so positively about the opportunity and the products, I felt I absolutelyhad to make it happen!smileys/smiley17.gif
I have a sneaking suspicion that, as a new consultant, I am going to run into quite a few of these issues.
I would appreciate it very much if some of you would share your experiences with this type of objection, and I'm interested to know what has worked well for you. (Could I draw on my own experience with the start-up cost?)
Any info is appreciated! Thanks so much for your time!smileys/smiley2.gif

Jennifer,
Hi, I would suggest not carrying an inventory for awhile, and as youget orders put most of the money toward getting a stock built up.Buy mostly theproducts on sale for the month.
I ordered a huge stock upon signing up, and I found I like to keep certain items on hand and just order the rest. I keep the most popular items such as the instant manicure, green tea masque, foot creme, skinlogics.
I hope this helps a bit. This is a great company and you can make good money. I make at least 50.00 an hour at my Spas. I usally put at least half of that back into inventory.
Good Luck,

Thanks for your response, but I think I might've not been clear w/my question.smileys/smiley2.gif
What I meant was, what is a good rebuttal for those who say that they can't afford to become a consultant; such as, can't swing the startup cost? I had that problem myself.
Any ideas on what to say to someone about the startupcost?

You could have them throw a Breakout Spa and you donate the profits or percentage of profits to the hostess to apply toward start up costs.
You don't make anything that Spa, but you gain a consultant.
Thats my idea, on how to help with the costs, or you could put her on your prospects list and call her if and when the 99.00 special hits.
Good luck,
Tess

I also offer help for start up. However, I do not give this help to everyone. I give my profits to those who want to work it as a business versus personal use. They also get the bookings from their party to get started. It is a win/win for both me and the new consultant!
Ask a lot of questions and see how passionate she/he is about doing this as a business. I don't mean to sound mean, but I have been burned in the past by my generosity.
Who knows if the $99 special is coming back again, but I hope so!
