Anyone here doing the Figure 8 diet? I am thinking after the baby is born (3 weeks to go) I may try it, it's between this and Weight Watchers. I have read testimonals but wondered if anyone here was having results with it. I heard that it really boosts the energy level (which I am going to need with a 2 year old, 9 month old, and a newborn!).
Has anyone ever approached a gym about carrying the line?

holy cow girl! I thought I had my three close together! When my third was born I had 3 kidsages 4 and under. But you'll have 3 kids ages 2 and under?smileys/smiley32.gif Well, I guess you'll be doing "assembly line" diaper changes!smileys/smiley2.gif It's rough having 3 little ones close together in age, but not as rough as it'll be having 3 teenagers!smileys/smiley36.gif
okay, back to Arbonne. I haven't done the figure 8 for weight loss, but more for weight management. Meaning- I just use the chews to help curb my appetite and occasionally have a protein shake, and daily fiber shakes.
There's another folder at wahm, under "weight loss" I think a few of the gals there on using figure 8.

I haven't used it for weight loss, tho' I need to! My sister is doing weight watchers & doing really well. It takes lots of discipline & she is also working out like a fiend! She only has one 17yr daughter, so she has time!
I'm thinking after the first of the year for me!

Has anyone had success just with taking the Going, Going, Gone supplements alone and watching their food intake?

Cassandra,
Don't even make me think of what it will be like to have 3 teenagerssmileys/smiley18.gifsmileys/smiley7.gif, smileys/smiley2.gifno hopefully it won't be to bad. Most people say the older they get the easier it gets, we'll see.
I think I am going to go ahead and do the Figure 8 diet. That way I can be a product of the product. Alot of people I know don't care about skincare (boy will they regret it when they are like 50smileys/smiley36.gif), so since our great company has so many other products to share I am going to go ahead and use it and share the results and get some business.

I had the manager of my best friend's beauty salon try the RE9 skin care and she actually said "she doesn't like the hassle of all those products" and "she doesn't get into that kind of stuff"! Can you believe that someone who is in the business of making others look good, doesn't want to take the time to make sure she is maintaining her OWN good health and skin?? I was floored!!

Naiaelaine,
I am so jealous! I have twins, you can't get em any closer than that! But they are going to be nine months soon, and I'm not pregnant yet. I really wantedall my kiddosto be within about13/14 mo. of each other. We haven't been trying, we just can't afford it yet. Hopefully my Arbonne biz will pick up in the next few months and we can start trying then!
Anyway, congrats on your latest little one! They'll have a blast as teenagers too! My best friends are three sisters that are about that far apart. They were very good teenagers too. I think it helped that they had eachother.
I'm using the fig8, but I'm still nursing, so I'm not actually replacing meals very often...just using the chews a lot, and the shakes for a quick pick me up or maybe breakfast. I really do like the fig8 line though. Once I wean, I plan to use it more faithfully.

Sarah,
I will be nursing too so I won't be able to start full force either.
You have such a pretty name in fact that is what our new baby girls name is going to besmileys/smiley1.gifSarah Elizabeth. My name is Kristin, Naia Elaine is our oldest daughter. I'm looking forward to all our kids being so close in age the two little ones now get along great and I am sure Sarah will fit right in. They are to cute to watch. Plus when my hubby retires from the military in 15 years we'll have all our kids in high school and I'll only be 38 so that will rock! They'll all be out the house by time I am 42!smileys/smiley32.gif
Sandy, it does amaze me how people, especially professionals don't want the hassle of taking care of their skin. It is like pulling teeth to get people to understand the importance of using a tonersmileys/smiley7.gifoh well like I said when they get older they will wish they had taken better care and be knocking down our doors for some RE9smileys/smiley36.gifEven my mom thinks it is silly to use so much so she just washes her face with Ivory soapsmileys/smiley11.gif, then she complains about how her skin lookssmileys/smiley36.gifCrazy huh.

Kristin,
My name is Sarah Elizabeth! How funny! I've actually never liked my name, but only because it was so common growing up. I'm 26, and I think that everyone on the planet right now named Sarah is 26!smileys/smiley36.gif
I bet your daughter won't have that problem though, because I haven't heard of anyone naming their baby Sarah in a long time.
Where are you stationed? Have I already asked that!? Anyway, we are former Marine Corps. We're living in Colorado Springs now.Edited by: arbonnebabies

My daughter's name is Sara Ashley. She is 14. At the time, we named her Sara because we both liked it & didn't know anyone form our past or present with that name! Come to find out, it was like in the top 10 names that year!! Oh well!
I used to be very hap -hazard about my skin care. It can be overwelming when you look in that little gold bag & see all these products! I have found that it actually takes very little time & the results are SOOOOO worth it! It really doesn't add any time to my morning or evening routine.
When I have someone who is a little confused about the order, etc, I will mark the top of their bottles with a sharpie for them (I have this done on my pups). I had my mom's in order for her until her housekeeper cleaned & moved them!
I ask people to just commit to trying it faithfully for 30 days so they can see the results. I tell them that they have 45 days to use the products, so if they don't want to continue after the 30 days - we can return them or exchange. So far no one has come back & wanted to return them.
I did have one lady tell me she uses baby wipes to clean her face! She wouldn't listen to a word I said, she was perfectly happy.

Has anyone ever approached a gym about carrying the line?
Well yes sort of. I have a girl who I sponsered who helps run a fitness center and you make an appointment to come in so she did some flyers and does put up a couple empty bottles of the figure 8 and the nutrition line. She is loving both.
I was too thinking about doing the figure 8 after this baby (due March 6-9) I have a 2 and 3 yrs old so I know how hard it is with little ones. smileys/smiley5.gifMy husband loves it and so does my mom... so I might. I am not good with shakes as I forget and eat a lot anyhow. So the chews and the supplements really helped me when I was trying to lose weight before the pregs. Good luck

That is funny. But it is a beautiful name, Sarah is common but it's to pretty to pass up.
We are stationed at Fort Lewis, WA. I would love to go to Colorado Springs. Our next duty will most likely be in Hawaii or Germany. I am not sure though if you can sell Arbonne in Germany I know it was asked on the boards before. Hawaii would be lovely!

I thought about approaching a Curves or a local gym. I would also like to go to the different MOM'sorganizations and Women's groups, women are always looking to lose weight and if I have a product that will truly work I want to share it.I have to loseweightand become a success story first though so I have a few months to plan. Boy let's hope it workssmileys/smiley36.gif

Just a word of caution ... your body will be in recovery mode after the baby is born. Be sure to check with your doctor before going on this (or any) plan especially if you are planning to breast feed.
I have a couple of friends who are using the program and love it.
The chocolate is VERY chocolate from what they have told me. They mix the chocolate and the vanilla using 1/2 serving of each. Makes a milk chocolate.

I am not sure about the Figure 8 diet. But my husband and I recently did the Bill Phillips Body for Life Program. It is not a diet but a way of life. You learn how to eat correctly and exercise regular. My husband lost 40 pounds and I lost 15 and it is still going down.
I wish you the best.
You can do whatever you choose to do.

I did Body For Life after my 5 yr old was born. I lost 30 pounds and looked and felt great.....however, I stopped doing it and moved on to Weight Watchers for management....
I have a 6 mo old daughter that I breast feed but I am going to do the Figure 8 to loose the extra 20 that I still have from her (when I wean her of course!!) I wouldn't be in a huge hurry after you have the new baby to loose the weight...just enjoy your kids and eat healthy (most of the time), don't put a toof pressure on yourself to be perfect.I tried to count my points when she was 10 wks oldbut all I was doing was STARVING myself to death...and getting more grouchy by the day! So I stopped. I am just going to be patient until she starts on solids and nurses less.
My best friend started Figure 8 the week after Thanksgiving and has lost 15 pounds. She is DIE HARD doing it just like it says. She swears that it has detoxifiyed her and that is why she has lost so much. She looks great!! I will try to post some pictures soon!!

Curves has their own line of supplements, and weight managment, so they woudn't carry ours. But my mom's curves lets up put up a display once a month of various products and have a drawing/sign up sheet. The owner is very helpful to other business women that are her customers, and she has a rotating schedule of all the direct sellers/consultants there. We haven't gotten any sales yet, but it is building name awareness. We only did it once so far, next week is our turn again, and we are going to try a different strategy.
