When you get a booking from a non home/catalog show event do you apply that show to a hostess so she can get the incentive. For example for my hostess to get $50 in free jewelry she need one more show to be held. I have a show that was booked from a craft show. Would you apply it to the hostess so she can get the incentive. Rules and reg according to my uplines upline say that the hostess does not have to even attend or buy anything from the hostess receiving the incentive. What would you do?

MMM...That's a tough one. I would say it depends on the hostess you are trying to help out. If you have a hostess that put a lot of effort into her show, but didn't quite make it, I'd probably reward her anyway.
I hope I'm understanding your question.
You have a hostess who did not get any bookings at her show, but you want to give her the incentive from a show you booked yourself at the vendor show, right?

Since it doesn't affect you one way or the other, I'd give it to her.
She will be a happy customer, she will be wearing more of your jewelry
out in public and I'd also give her a handful of your business cards to
hand out to people who ask her where she got her wonderful jewelry!

Hi Ann Marie,
I'm with Meg on this one. I've done it myself with hosts that need the credit, but there are some that don't deserve the credit. I'm assuming this isn't your whacko host from a previous post smileys/smiley36.gif.

I would agree with everyone else. Give her the credit.
Most of my bookings come from word of mouth. I love it when I have a very happy hostess walking around with my product to show off to everyone. How much more would she brag on you if you help her earn a much deserved credit? smileys/smiley2.gifsmileys/smiley36.gif
It doesn't sound like it would hurt anyone by doing it, so go for it. She'll be very happy you did and after all, Tis the Season!!!

For us, it's a little different. We pay $5 for each booking credit that our hostess gets toward the two booking gift so a booking gift actually costs us $10 plus the small amount extra in shipping. Hostesses can get $15 worth of free product for eachbookingOR they can get aBooking Giftabsolutelyfree with twoBookings. I don't usually do what you are suggesting because I emphasize that our booking gifts must be EARNED. I've even had party goers repeating those exact words because they've heard it before at my parties when someone asks, "Who much is that______ (booking gift)?" I offer some other "freebie" to my hostesses who go the extra mile or really put in the effort to host a great party but I like to keep the booking gifts or incentives strictly for them obtaining their own bookings and not for the bookings that I obtain on my own. I can keep the extra $15 in credit for merchandise MYSELF for my own bookings so it really doesn't benefit me to give them away.
But, I always say conduct your business in a manner that is best suited for you and your customers. What works for me may not be what works for you. If it isn't costing you anything and she deserves the freebies, I'd say go for itsmileys/smiley2.gif
