Hello gals, I am sorta new with ARBONNE and I have recruited one gal but I am sorta shy and having a hard time talking to people and giving out information on the products. There are so many products and they have so many ingredients and do so many things that I cannot keep them all straight. When people ask me what products would be good for certain things and skin types Idraw a blank.
I am 49 and trying to talk to gals that are younger than me sometimes hits a snarl. I love the company and the productsso far and I want to succeed so bad but if I am having a hard time with keeping the important stuff straight it is going to be hard for me to do a presentation or recruit.
Do you have any suggestions on how you kept things in line when you first started.
I want to recruit and have drawn a complete blank in that department too. My sponsor is great and explains things to me but she is also a trained cosmetician and this stuff comes easier to her than to me.
Also some of the ingredients and products are hard to pronounce and understand for me so explaining them to someone else is going to be rough.
I have a bit of a speech problem and when I talk to people I get very nervous and sometimes do not pronounce my words very good and I tend to talk very fast.
Money is tight for us that is why I wanted toa home business to make some extra money so advertising is limited. Any ideas? Whenever I go to some of the free sites to post there are already so many ARBONNE reps posting so that is no good.
I have a booklet full of information that my sponsor has sent to me and I have studied it over and over but still having a hard time understanding everything.
I know there has to be an easier way to do this.
PLEASE HELP

Hi Marion!
I'm new to Arbonne, too. It sounds like you might be putting too much pressure on yourself. I don't feel the need to know all the ingredients for everything right now. I think most people understand that when you are just starting a business, there's going to be a ton of things you don't know! My biggest asset right now is being able to say, "You know, that's a great question! I honestly don't know the answer to that one, but let me check with my sponsor and I'll get back to youas soon as I can". Most people are just happy that I didn't try to make things up or just take a guess. They want to know that they will get accurate information, and appreciate me taking time to find out for them.
Are you currently using any of the products? I just talk mostly about how happy I am with the products I'm currently using. I don't know what they're made of why they work so well, but for now, my excitement about them seems to be enough.
I really don't think people will expect you to know it all. They'll probably better appreciate your calm demeanor, even if it means not having all the answers. Hopefully some of the more experienced consultants will have more words of wisdom for you.
From one newbie to another, Go Get 'Em!!

Hi Marion~
I am also new to Arbonne...started on December 1st. A couple of things that have been really helpful to me:
1-www.arbonneuniversity.com- they have many classes that you can take and most of them are about 20-40 minutes. They have been SO helpful and they build so much confidence in the company AND the products.
2-I know that it is hard to share with people...especially if you are self conscious about your speech issue at all. Just keep talking to people that you know...tell them what you are doing now. The more you talk to people, the less you will think about yourself. Think of why you want to tell people. Arbonne's products are so beneficial to the skin, why would we want to keep their stuff all to ourself? Also, really use the internet to promote your business as well.
I hope this helps!

I think any time we are new to something, there is a definite learning curve. I agree that the arbonne university site is VERY helpful. There is also a section in the product information part of the site that allows you to print out the complete manual - 1 page per product (about 144 pages). It is very easy to understand and gives all kinds of information. I printed it out and put in a 3 ring binder. I have used it many, many times already.
