Hello,
I have a small business for which i had a regular #. I now have a toll-free#.
The thing is that I have a ton of nice business cards I still want to use.
My problem is I can't remember where I got the original number which is
no longer active. I want to find a way to use that number and then have
it forwarded to the the 800#.
Any ideas??
Thanks for any assistance!!!

this may or may not help you hope it does though
alot of times when you go to www.whitepages.com (http://www.whitepages.com) and do a reverse lookup search on a phone number it will tell you if it is a landline and what company and that way you will see where the number came from and will know what company to contact for the reverse lool upit will look something like this:
Type: Cell Phone Provider: New Cingular Wireless Pcs, LccLocation: San Antonio, TX
Due to number portability, some numbers have been transferred to a new service provider.Edited by: Mommy2JT&Ana

Thanks Tonya. I tried that and it pulled up the # but I didn't see the type info you noted.

If you click on the exclamation point icon it will show the type and carrier of the number
