I am new to the BeautiControl world and I am so confused! I live in the state of Washington and I am trying to find out licensing info, rules and regulations (as in what we are allowed to and not allowed to do). I cannot get a straight answer from anyone and they are saying that I need all kinds of licenses and I was told I wouldn't need anything. If you know anything about this, please help me! Thanks!

I just want to welcome you to Wahm.com. I am not sure about the licensing you need for Washington, however you have come to the right place. You will get so much help and guidance from the wonderful ladies here at Wahm.

I am only aware of licensing in somestates,if you were to give massages or touch your clients. If I were you, I would start at your local courthouse. I am sure you would get a lot of information about state/county regulations from the offices there. Iwould think that your director or the person that signed you up would beable to help you also. Really, Iwouldn't think you would need a license to sell BC products.I would just talk withan accountantaboutmisc. tax information.

Hope this helps, and best of luck to you in your BeautiControl Business.

I look forward to talking to you again soon!!

Hi,

Have you tried calling the BC help line. THe number is in your book, or you can find it on the website under online care center. They should be able to help direct you to who you need to call, or find another consultant in your area to ask. What about your Beauty U trainer?

Good luck. I hope this helps!

I have been w/BC for 10 yrs. Every state has different rules but what I understand in Michigan is -

if you are demonstrating a product you do not need to be licensed (like the makeup girls in dept stores-they are demonstrating their product & no- they are not all licensedcosmetologists)

but if you are offering a serviceformoney (massage, wedding makeup)you need to be licensed.

Hope that helps. Someone in your upline should be able to anwser your questions or call a Cosmetology school & ask for info.
