I know they are on here,
I have seen them,
I can not get the search button to work,
If you know where they are can you bump them for me.
Thank you,
If you can't find them, can someone tell me how to them them.
I am just getting back into doing spas and I want to do good.
Help.

It's really simple. I have done both and try to judge which one will work better for which group. If they're really talkative, the game works well.
I have a roll of tickets and tell them they can ask me anything they want about my job or Beauticontrol. That way I'm not boring them with details and can focus on what they're interested in. For each question, they get a ticket. At the end I draw for an individual mini. If nobody wants to start, offer suggestions like"Nothing is off limits. You can ask me what I make, what my favourite part of the job is, anything!"
The goody bag is good for breaking the ice if it's a touch crowd. I also make this a game. I'll pull out things that represent reasons this is my dream job, and they have to guess what each thing represents.
1. Big old ugly bra, the bigger the better! My job is supportive and uplifting! (this gets them laughing and into the game. They get a ticket for each guess, whether they're wrong or right.)
Then you pull out your personal items like a picture of your kids if you're a WAHM, a lay from Hawaii for trips you can earn, the Mustang, $1000 or 2 or 3, picture of team - friendships made, your favourite product with 1/2 price sticker on it, travel alarm clock with no batteries in it (don't need it anymore, no schedule), etc. Think of your main why's of why you love this business and put something in there that represents you. The more personal, the more believable.
Good luck!

Thanks for sharing Johanna. I haven't really gotten into the ticket game or doing the goody bag but have been thinking about it. I need to start it and this helps.

Take the leap and go for it! It feels really awkward at first, but just joke around that it's a cheesy game you like to play. Hold up that big bra, smile, and say "Do I have your attention now?" At least if they know that you're not taking it so seriously, they will loosen up and play along. It's so soooo worth it to find a way to discuss all the benefits of doing the business. And visuals really keep they're attention. I found as soon as I started showing my "dream bag", I recruited more serious business people and not just discount shoppers. One tip I realized is to do it at the end, right before your close. I used to do it at the beginning as a way to introduce myself and the spa, and that was a disaster! They looked at me like I was crazy and it set an uncomfortable tone for the rest of the evening. Now I wait until they have gotten to know me for an hour and they like me, then they're in the mood for playing along and having fun.

I have had a tough time with presenting the goody bag...sorry i think its kind of cheesy but thats my opinion and my hang up....but what i have started doing to help me get comfortable with presenting it is...i make a bingo card with all the items or actually most of the items and as i pull each one out they mark off the item on their card and whoever bingos 1st get a prize and then we go for blackout so i can go thru all the items and that person gets a prize....its working for me as far as being comfortable with it and getting it in my spa...I haven't recruited with it yet but i've only used it at 2 spas....will let you know how it goes in future spas

I think that the ticket game is a great way to bring up interest in your business, and to see who is interested in the opportunity. It is a good way for you to break the ice and roll into the advantages of becoming a consultant.
The goody bag seems to be a challenge for quite a few people. I do think it is important in the duplication process. It is taught from the company, so when your new consultant is learning what they are to do and you did not use the goody bag, I think it may pose questions as to why.
I think if you put in items that you deem relevant to your business and believe in, it should work well. Maybe start out small....if you enjoy the time with your family, put in a watch or clock...if you enjoy extra monthly income, put in currency...if you want to travel, put in a picture of a favorite destination or a plane ticket stub...if you like to give to charity, put a brochure from a favorite charity or from WHO...if you like to spend time with family and friends, put in a picture all of you together. You can build from there as you feel comfortable. You can be elaborate as you wish, or keep it simple. Either way, I am sure that you will do just fine! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif
