There was a post on here last week about doing a business strictly online. I have dabbled with doing online parties and some online advertising with a few of my companies, but have not done much. Does anyone have any tips on the best way to go about running an online business? Where and how to advertise, etc.?

Thanks!
Angie

That was my post...
I never received tips, and not much responce. other than already set in place direct sales businesses.
I have learned that a person needs to get a selling license and if they do wholesale items, a certificate for that.
Lots of working variables and could take a long time to get up and going on something like that, but if its a passion and a person wants to do, I say go for it :)

Yahoo groups are a great way to generate business. It can be done. It will just take a little longer since it would be your only avenue to promote your business. You'd need to advertise anywhere and everywhere. Nationwide newspaper.com is a great site.

One idea is to get a mailing list started for a monthly newsletter. Keep adding to the mailing list so you can get your company in front of people every month.
