Ok, ladies I need some insight here! I have a good friend that signed up today, pretty much for personal use at this point...loves the skincare..and who knows where she could go from here. She's actually a former MK consultant, so I know she knows the ins an outs of ds, so that is definitely good!
The dilemma that we are having is that she put in all of her information and signed up, but we looked at the trainings (she lives in PA) and all of them are about 2 1/2 or more hours away! The poor thing has a young baby that she is breast feeding and there is NO possible way she can be gone from the baby that long, etc. What can we do? Worst case scenario, she cancels and gets her money back and just buys from me, which would be fine, too. However, I think she'd be a great addition to BC and that we have a lot to offer her as far as her making extra money and being able to stay at home with the baby.
Anyone have any ideas or been in this situation? Let me know! Thanks ladies.

I'm willing to bet that there will be something witnin 2.5 hours of her sometime prior to the end of this promotion. Otherwise if she has to go a BIT beyond the 90 days to get within driving distance, BC is likely to work with her as long as they are contacted before the 90 days.
Another possibility: is there a friend or family member who would travel with her and watch the baby during the day at the hotel? In November Shelley Callahan did a BeautiU about an hour from here and I believe her mother-in-law or a friend was taking care of the baby in the same hotel so it was close by. You can't have the baby in the BeautiU room, but if it's close by, you could breastfeed on breaks and during lunch. Just a thought!

my sister in law did this at the King of prussia, Pa location. It all worked fine.. her parents watched the baby, walked around the HUGE mall there .... and came by periodically when it was time to breastfeed... a huge undertaking, but it worked for everyone involved....

I agree with the above. She has 90 days to take training but I've been able to get extensions for reasons like the above. Having a friend or relative go along with her to take care of the baby for the day at the hotel is the solution. I had to do that several times to go to some meetings because a couple of my babies refused to take bottles. Please tell her that as women we support women. The trainer and the other new consultants should be understanding of this situation as she needs to come and go to nurse her baby.
Depending on your financial ability to do this and her desire for the items in the 2nd part, you might want to offer her the 2nd part of the kit on "consignment". I have given a couple of my consultants the products they wanted out of my inventory. Then after they finallyget to training and receive the 2nd part, they give me the items back out of what BeautiControl sends them. I've done this for friends or clients who I had known for awhile and trusted.

Elizabeth you and I think a lot alike lol...I was thinking this same thing. I haven't offered her this option yet because I'd like to see what BC has to say about the situation...turns out the training is farther than I originally thought. It's a little over 3 hours, so I'm not sure what the outcome will be! She's such a doll...she just sent me an email saying that she was sorry that she didn't wait to see about the trainings before she signed up, but she was *too excited*! She said she hasn't had skin this good since well before the baby!
I'll keep you all posted on what I find out. Thanks to you all for your support and help on this!

Have you looked at trianing in another state that she might be closer to? That area up north is so close to other states that she might have something outside Pa closer to her.

I did, actually. I checked New York, New Jersey, and Maryland and they are all 3-5 hours away. She is very patient..I think I got her calmed down and bit and we are just waiting for a call from my Director to see what she thinks we can do next. I like the idea of giving her the product "on consignment" but she may never get to a training in the 90 days! So we will just see what happens.

I have heard that they offer webinars for training. Find out when the next one is.

I believe to do a webinar training that you must be 4 hours + away from a training site or have a doctor's note. I had a consultant do the webinar however, and she loved it!!

I was thinking the same advice as above. In the meantime, Iwould encourage her to get started before BeautiU. Beauticontrol just launched the EmpowerU online training which is just awesome!! It was the most exciting thing I heard about at Leadership. It will keep her all excited and experiencing some succes before she goes to BeautiU. Haven't you noticed you get a lot more out the training the second time around? It's going to be like that for everyone who takes the empoweru program. She sounds like a real gem. Don't let BeautiU stand in her way. Good luck to both of you!
