There are restrictions as to what of Tupperware you can list - it has to be an item in yourstock cannot use Ebay to gain orders for items you do not own- this is a big deal on the Tupperware main message board, as often new items unanounced to consultants and unavailable to order are on Ebay - really takes away from the consultants who are working thier Biz

I don't think there are alot of direct sales companies that allow you to sell on ebay. Some allow you to sell if the item is discontinued only.
I have looked on ebay many times to see how much items are going for and most of the time they sell for less than a consultant buys it for. I can't see where any consultant can actually make money on ebay. Maybe I'm wrong and I'm looking at the wrong companies on there but things usually go for alot cheaper.

I have listed Stuff a Friend on eBay too. I keep my rep status there for the discounts. Well it doesn't hurt that it was free to sign up and they give you a free website too. LOL
Just a suggestion. My kids have loved these though.
Take a look at www.ShopSAF.com (http://www.ShopSAF.com)

I'm with BeautiControl and we can't sell on Ebay but TONS of people do it anyway. I'm not sure why they would want to do that because they are selling stuff for the same amount as what they paid for it.smileys/smiley5.gif

I don't understand why these people would want to sell on Ebay because it just takes away from those that are actually doing the parties. Just like when Tupperware used to offer their stuff in Target, why would someone want to host a party when they could go to Target and get their goods and not have to deal with the hassle of putting a guest list together and planning food etc. Our company is very strict on their policies of Ebay and have someone monitoring it all the time, there are a few people that can get around it if they aren't consultants anymore but other then that they are very strict about it.

You are not allowed to sell Tupperware on Ebay...those who do and get caught can lose there status...however there are those that do and as stated before it is way under the cost which means they must have gotten it for free...or they aren't very bright... i think it is wrong UNLESS you have tons of old stock that you need to get rid of but i use it to get parties...better money than ebay in the long run!

Check out this pretty cool concept to drive traffic to your home party plan consultant Ebay auctions:
http://HostedParty.com/ebay.html
If you don't want to list your auctions or store, then you can also just click on a category to shop that way too.

A consultant selling on ebay isn't taking away from people doing parties. It's just another sales technique (like selling through a company sponsored or personal website). It's not the same as the home office competing with consultants, which I think is pretty crappy.
The nice thing about selling on ebay is that you can do it in between naps, meals, etc., rather than scheduling time for a party. Then again, I think most products sell better when people can taste, touch, smell, hear them rather than just seeing them from afar. That's one of the biggest draws of the party plan as far as I can see.
Keep in mind that there are people who won't host or attend a party, but may be willing to buy your products through other means. Some people just aren't into the party plan way of life (I'm one of them, ironically!).

YOU are NOT allowed to sell Mary Kay on e-bay, although quite a number do so anyway. I can guarantee customer service with a fresh product through my sales - I do not know about the e-bay sales.

The first 2 things I'd Check are the shipping costs, are they over inflated? And their About Me page, is their website/info listed there?
Also, alot of sellers do what's known as "loss leading", wherein they will purposely take a loss on a lesser item to draw people in for backend and future sales. This is very risky and should only be practiced by "professional" marketers who know exactly what they're doing. This is mostly done by large "brick & mortar" stores with their GIANT SALES smileys/smiley36.gif.
I'm not real sure it would even be worth it with these type of businesses tho.
My 2 cents for what its worth (was that a bad pun?)

I hated when Tupperware was avail in Target (who needs a Consultant when it is readily avail)
And I am glad they are against Ebay selling - as most times it is products NOT yet Avail to the everyday Consultant -
That does take away from our Biz- Just like when TW sells Flat Outs on QVC - takes away from the Consultant cause folks ordered them cheaper and in colors NOT avail to us !
If a Consultant wants to sell the items in stock fine, but it should not be used to gain orders for NEW items that are not even avail yet- to keep thier "status" While the other Consultants "work" to get thier orders
I think that it would be better for Tuppperware(and other Companies)toput out some effort and moneyin some Commercials/Ads on TV, in magazines etc-like Avon does - this would help the Everyday Consultant more-How many times have I heard, "I have not seen Tupperware in years, wondered if they were still around"
People to not have to Host a party to place an order- just need to find a Consultant locallyor they can even order online off a site
