I have been online ALL WEEK literally from the time I wake and periodically throughout the day looking for legitimate things on the web to do from home!! Thank goodness I found this site! I have been doing all of the research with BBB, but some things arent listed there at all!! ??? so confused!! Well, I am a stay at home mommy who is about to lose her mind b/c she needs the money to help around the house but cannot find anything legit!!! I have tried some survey sites but am a little sceptical because alot of them want you to pay for a certain service before paying you... hmm... SO, Im not really into the whole "sales" idea b/c for me, I stink at that!! LOL, but with data entry there is at least some guaranteed pay in it, Im really only looking for about 150-300 a week. Thats all I need. How about project payday? is that legit? Does anyone do data entry from home??? Please someone some advice, I really am about to lose my mind, my husband thinks Im nuts b/c all I do is stay up constantly on the computer researching everything trying to find something to earn money! Thanks!!!http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley12.gif

Legit data entry jobs are hard to find because for every 1 opening there are literally thousands of applicants. And the ones that are legit may very well have a waiting list (like Keys for Cash - I've been waiting for 3yrs). Now I say this not to be discouraging but to say that although everyone wants data entry it might be best to broaden your search to include other work at home jobs.

The best section to find legit work at home jobs is in the telecommuting folder. There are stickies at the top with links to companies and people post/discuss leads all through the day.

As for projectpayday - that is in the get paid to industry. It is not a job but a way to make extra cash with no guarantees. I would suggest looking at anything4free.com in their forums to get a better understanding of how the get paid to industry works. It is something that can make you money and/or free stuff but as I said its not guaranteed.

Hope that helps. Good luck to you!

I had been looking for a work at home job for years and it finally came. Two of them actually.
Alpine Access. It's not data entry it's customer service but it's legit.
Who I ended up working for is my sister (Yes, it was a way in)
She's an office manager at a dental office. They have a program VNC that allows you to log onto the computers at the dental office. I get on early in the morning and late at night.(you can't work on the office computers if they need them)
She trained me to enter checks and adjust patients charts. I go in one time a week to mail out claims and that's it.
Maybe you could schmooz your way into doctors or dental office that needs some extra help doing odds and ends.
hope this helps

Have you ever thought of free lance work for data entry? GetAFreelancer.com is pretty good. They have a lot of data entry jobs. You bid on the jobs, and may not get accepted but it is a start and all jobs are legit. Not sure what rate of pay you are looking for, but I know as a stay at home mom myself, every little bit helps.
If you sign up for free at first, you get 15 bids a month. Otherwise, it is $12 a month and you get unlimited bids. I found quite a few writing jobs through them. (not exactly the rate of pay I was looking for, but it helped and one of them had on going work every week, and as soon as I showed her my article quality, she upped the wage a little more)
I have been to other sites like elance.com and scriptlance.com and although those sites work for some people, I found this site was more geared to my kind of jobs, and I could bid on multiple opportunities for a cheaper monthly rate.
Just an idea. If you do, let me know if you get something. I always like to hear when something works out for someonehttp://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif

Freelance work is definitely a possibility, I would not suggest paying anyone money to find out more info about "data entry" though, it is almost always a scam.

There are tons of opportunities out there, and once you establish a profile on a place like getafreelancer, you can be in good shape.
