I had a funny experience this afternoon. On my way out the door, there was a college aged kit that had just knocked. He was selling magazines for some sort of bonus and trip incentive. We talked briefly and he asked what I did. I said come here and I will show you. I took him to my car where I had some of the candles and my brochures. I handed him a brochure, let him smell a couple of the candles. I gave him a very brief synopsis, and said, "well, it put a couple hundred in my wallet last month alone" and his eyes kind of bugged.... then he asked about the website and where he could look into it LOL!I left the conversation kind of hanging because I was "out the door". I never did buy any of his magazines, but there is always the teeniest of chance I sparked a real interest for him to earn some real money smileys/smiley36.gif

Sandy, good for you! smileys/smiley32.gifActually I believe this is a fabulous market that is left untapped. College kids are always looking for flexible things to do for income and I think their energy is fantastic. I had a chance to do a employment fair at the University, but was unable to do it at that time. There is another one in March that I WILL be at. I can't wait!

Sandy, did you get his phone number?? I bet he has other salesmen friends...smileys/smiley2.gif

Actually I didn't get his number as of course I didn't think about that until it was too late, but we get these kids often since this town has TWO Universities here (FSU & FAMU) as well as several colleges! We also get several people witnessing in the neighborhood, and I do recall reading somewhere (was it in the Dec newsletter? I can't remember) where those that came by to witness ended up buying a bunch of candles and coming back for more! The potential is here in this town... now if I can only remember to grab phone numbers, I will be set smileys/smiley36.gif
