what do you all think are the Pro's and Con's ... well, that's a huge question that's been answered multiple times on this mb.
Reminds me of a joke my grandpa used to pull on us when we were little... he'd say "tell me everything you know, I have 5 minutes"

I, personally like being an IC over being an employee since my hubby is employeed, I don't need a job with insurance and withholding.

Thanks for replying with your opinion, that's all I was looking forhttp://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gifSo, you don't find it frustrating have to figure out your own taxes? Also, I was wondering, don't IC's have to pay for training with their jobs and pay to be an IC? This is where I am really confused because I read that somewhere.

smileys/smiley2.gif Hi Butterfly - I'm a new WAHM, er, - well - stay at home SINGLE person, anyhow - I just left the IRS after 6 yrs - don't HAVE a SAHJ yet - am looking -
But as for taxes - let me tell you - the IRS.gov site has all the info you need - there are publications there - all for free - and a withholding calculator, and other tools you might want to check. You can find out what are legal home office deductions, etc.
Hey - maybe I need to give TAX info from home?? HA -- smileys/smiley36.gif
I'm about to be an IC once more - used to be before gvt. job - love being my own boss. Just keep good info - d/l your bank statement into some accounting s/w or something - that's the best way -- and your remote desktop or whatever you use for calls- that should give you a total of hours, etc.
Good luck with it -
