Hi Denise!

About a week ago when I called to place an order I asked what the top
selling scents for the previous week had been. Here's the list I got:

hot apple pie
home for holidays
Xmas Eve
Fr vanilla
Butter Cream
Creme brulee
Cinn raisin bun
holly berry
apple cinn
xmas essence
spiced cran
mulberry spice
xmas cookie

Have a blast with your first order- I don't know about everyone else, but
when I'm picking out my candle 'flavors' I'm like a kid in a candy store!

Good Morning Denise!! Well, are you wanting the holiday scents, or a more general assortment? Are you getting brochures and bella bars too?If you dont have it already, i would REALLY suggest getting your sample bag. It WILL make its money back at your first party!! When i first started, all i had was my bag, 2 bella bars, brochures, and 1 cotm to actually show how they burn and the jar size. No one cared that i didnt have any invenotry and they didnt mind waiting 1-2 weeks to get their orders. They DID however LOVE that they could semell all the wonderful scents. They were so excited!! Candles were flying everywhere!! lol smileys/smiley36.gif

Also, if you are gonna order some christmas scents, just get a few. I ordered a case last year and didnt sell all of them and got stuck with them until this year, and i finally sold my last one. smileys/smiley32.gif

Since you have to order a whole case of jars, that will take up alot of your $150. I would really suggest spending a little more and get your brochures and sample bag. That is my opinion!! smileys/smiley5.gif

If you are looking for the best sellers, you can look in your back office on the message boards, i believe they just posted the best sellers of spring. This is always a great guide and i find it very accurate for me!!

HTH and good luck!! smileys/smiley2.gif

What is the sample bag? I think it sells sold out on the online order form unless I am looking at the wrong thing?

Well, I guess it depends on your retail needs and what you're planning to
do with the scents you order. If you want to build your inventory of jar
candles to sell retail to family and friends, I would suggest the jars. But if
you want to build up your scent collection, I think the votives would be
the most economical and portable option. You can retail half of each
case, which, at $3 each or 6 for $12 will cover your cost for the WHOLE
case.

Then you can grate up the other half to make melts and start your own
scent collection, as well as making up scent sample baggies. I personally
LOVE using the votives- my experience has been that using the grated
votives in your melt warmer creates an even stronger scent throw than
burning them as votives, and just a small amount of shavings (about 1.5
tablespoons) will scent the whole house and last through the duration of
one tealight!

Hope this helps. Keep the questions coming! I have compiled a fact
sheet about our products- info and tips for best burn procedures, etc.
from information I've gathered off the company message board and my
team's yahoo group files. If this would be helpful to you, let me know
and I'll email you a copy!

BTW, the sample bag is a nice fabric tote containing a 1-ounce sample of
all of the scents available. It is a very convenient and professional way to
carry and display your scents everywhere you go- a valuable tool if you
are focusing on the retail aspect of the business. I believe the cost is
around $180, so if you are on a limited budget with your startup for your
business, I suggest setting aside a portion of your profits from each sale
to save up for the bag.-Our scents are SO good that even if you start
with just a few scent samples you make yourself from votives, you'll sell
them like hotcakes- People will buy what you allow them to smell and
what you have available!smileys/smiley2.gif

The sample bag is out of stock. What is the shoulder bag? It costs about $195 our cost. Does this have all the samples.

Thanks everyone for your help. I did go ahead and put an order in. I decided to get a dozen of different 16 oz. I figured it was good for gift giving as well. I got my COTM club today, orange and chili pepper. OMG it is awesome. And I only signed up yesterday. I am so exited!!!!
