Hi! I know we have talked about this but i am still confused. I talked to my sponsor and i am more confused. This has to do with wholesale accounts.
I have my first party tomorrow. Lets say a girl wants to open up a wholesale account. Lets say she spends 100, so she'd really only be paying 65% of that because she opened an account. Now, that left over money, (the 35%) does that go towards the host rewards?
I was told that people have to do a $100 order, which i know isn't the case. right?
I guess my question is how do i give a wholesale account to someone and be able to help out the hostess as well, without me having to pay anything.
Please be as simple as you can in explaining. Not sure why i can't get this !!! smileys/smiley17.gif
Again, sorry for the repeated question, but i went through all the old posts and i am still confused. My first party is tomorrow afternoon and i just have a feeling this will happen because i dont know how to deal with the situation!
Thanks so much !!!!

Michelle,
I'm not sure I fully understand your question. However, the problem I see with offering people who are NOT the host a wholesale account at a party is this. I'm assuming you've offered your host $100 for $20 for every $250 in Retail Volume at the party. If you had 3 people buy $100 and get wholesale accounts, plus another $200 in volume, you would have a total of $500 in Retail Volume, and would owe your hostess 2 $100-for-$20's, right? However, you would have 3 $100 orders, and 1 $200 orders--and 0 $250 orders. No way to get the $100 for $20's!!!
After getting burned on this once, I changed to offering the Wholesale Price to people who purchased at least $100 AND booked a class. They could get the wholesale account at their own party. Of course you're free to make up any incentives you like, but it seems to me there's no easy way to offer EVERYONE the wholesale account AND be sure you can give your host what she deserves without risking losing money.

Michele, I think I know what the 'hang up' is here. When you look at the total sales of the party, only look at the RETAIL amount, whether the guests pay retail or wholesale, when figuring what the host gets, look at the RETAIL TOTAL. The total before the discount is given is what purchase with purchases, host rewards, host specials are based on. Does that help you?
Also, I agree with the other poster, if the guests want the wholesale account, you can still give them the discount, and have them fill out the paperwork (kinda locks them in to you), they book a party (preferably within the next few weeks) and you will start their account at their party, and that's when they'll receive their free product. I've found this works great for an incentive to keep party booked.

so if i dont activate their account but give their discount, then what they pay doesn't go towards the hostess because it is no longer retail correct?
im just hoing this wont happen!

Yes it does go towards the hostess. It only affects how much
commission you get. For example, if someone buys $250 retail
volume at retail price, you get $250 in volume, and can do a $100 for
$20 on the sale for the hostess. You make $87.50
commission.
If they pay wholesale, you still get $250 retail volume, you can still
do the $100 for $20, but you make no commission. The computer
does not keep track of how much the people paid, just the retail
volume.
Another example is if you offer a special in a month. Let's say
you offer 20% off all sunscreen to try to sell more sunscreen.
The retail volume of the sunscreen remains the same. You just
make less commission.
Does that make more sense?

My dm was saying that if they sign up for wholesale none of that money can go towards the hostess because it is on a compleley different form or something.
what you are saying makes sense though. And i think i have to call in my order because if i have a cc order then i dont want to have to buy products.

Michele,
You would only need to call in the order if all of the people used
credit cards. Otherwise, the commission off of one credit card
would help pay for the order of the others. For example. If
someone ordered $100 retail and paid with a credit card, and another
person ordered $100 retail and paid with a check, your price would be
$130. $100 would be charged to the credit card, and you would pay
the additional $30 out of your $100 check.
Is your sponsor willing to sit down with you after the class and enter
it into the computer with you? Did she do some classes for you so
you could understand her system? If she is successful in her
business, she is your best coach. I say that because I run my
business differently and if you follow the advise I give, she may have
trouble coaching you because that is not what she has experience
with. The most successful people in this business say to attach
yourself to the hip of your upline. If she is unwilling or unable
to help out, you can keep going up. It sounds like she is willing
to help, though, so make good use of her! She understands the ins
and outs and can help you maximize your profits, success, and hostess
satisfaction.
Good luck with your class!
