HI all
Just thought I would post my experience from last night. I had my first Arbonne presentation and only 4 people were there. One of them was an ex consultant with Mary Kay. She started talking about their products (badly) and saying all this stuff about the company and business and asked me what I thought. As an ex MK consultant myself I simply said,"Mary Kay Ash built a wonderful company and I have many good friends that are with Mary Kay and I would never say anything negative about another company or their products, my job is to educate you on these wonderful Arbonne products". Another guest began talking about how she just spent alot of money on some Sensaria products and she wasn't happy with them at all and on and on. So I asked her had she contacted the consultant she bought the products from and told her, her complaints and had she asked for a refund. She said no, and I told her that's why all our companies have return policies in place and it is better to fix the situation with the consultant than talk badly about her experience to others. At the end of the night I sold 4 RE9 sets (only 4 guests were there) and they all said it was because of the integrity I showed.
I say all this to say that it's never good to slander another company or their products to make ours look better. There are many people out there who will buy our products withoutus cutting down another company and I think that it actually makes us look better in the end. And this is for all direct sales consultants not just Arbonne. So many times we think if we can cut down the competition we will get more sales but the truth is we end up looking like a desperate fool.I know all the wise women on this board know that but I wanted to share anyways. Sorry so long.

Thanks for the reminder. I have a cousin who has sold MK for 15 years in Oklahoma and when I told her I was thinking about selling Arbonne she said that their products were great but their sales people have a reputation for having no integrity. Thanks for helping to fight that reputation!

Integrity. That's the bottom line. I agree with everything you said. I have marketed other products in the past and I never slam my competition. I perfer to spend the precious time I have available in front of my potenial clients explaining the features and benefits on my products.
Sounds like your presentation was a home run. Four people and four set sold. Nice job.
I love the products and those who I have shared them with feel the same. Best of luck
Have a prosperous day!!!!

I am having a class today hosted by a Mary Kay consultant! She came to a party I did a while ago and said it was eye opening and she wanted to learn more and share with her friends. I am sure that wouldn't have happened if I slammed their products or company.
