I read some info about a travelling spa basket on the WAHM Spa girls site and wondered who has tried it and what responses they got?

I left my first travelling basket at my daughter's school for a few weeks so all of the teachers would have a chance to use it. When I went to go pick it up on a Monday(I had seen in the Friday before), it had mysteriously disappeared!!! I never got any response cards back. Never got my CD back. Certainly did not get any of my product or Empowering Women magazine back. I think that is a very worst case scenario, and I've never heard of it happening to anyone else, but that was my first and probably last time I will be doing the travelling spa basket.



I know there are others with good experiences out there though, and I probably should not have been so generous to leave the basket for so long. I thought I was doing a nice thing. They lady just said, "well everything was pretty much empty anyway...."

I left it at my son's preschool last year for just a week...on my intro letter I specified a date that I would pick it up and stuck with that...the plan was that if they were still interested I would book a school spa...that did not happen, but I did get orders for teacher appreciation gifts and from the teachers as well

I usually leave spa traveling baskets with individuals. Funny enough SpaDiva24, my friend left one in the hospital ward that she works in and someone took all of her brown sugar. It happens everywhere I'm sure. Its just too bad though. Don't give up on the spa basket idea, maybe just try to leave it with individuals instead of businesses......

I think schools are prone to theft problems than say a small doctor's office. I was warned by multiple teachers to not let my spa supplies out of my sight for even a minute when I did my work spa. As in don't go to the bathroom and leave them out in the teacher's lounge!

I had the same thing with the spa basket and lost everything, i left it with a friend at the YMCA, she knows who took it, but the girl says she didn't and there is nothing I can do. I think you need to leave it in a smaller office and give it to someone so you have a contact person. I am afraid to try again, so just do samples at places but that hasn't worked for me either.

I put a travel basket at a local surgery center, and although I got the basket back and in good condition, and they tried most of the products I had inside; and one of the office girls said they seemed to like it, but I didn't get anyorders. One girl states she is still looking a the book?????

i too was hit by the five finger bandit on my first basket....i did leave it at a business and not with a person....i did manage to get all my stuff replaced though....i would do minis or samples in the future if I decided to do that again.

I left my basket at my hair salon. 16+ women.. I wasn't expecting to have
any product left, but to my surprise.. nothing was hardly touched.
Nothing had been used that I could see. I guess the SOH's was used(or that's what I was told),but I really didn't notice any of that gone either.
Weird. I left it for nearly a week. A group of women that size you would
think they would be flocking like vultures.
