View Full Version : Amazing - How do you spread the word?

When a big announcement is made in your company - how do you spread the word to let people know?
Yesterday, The Bittersweet Candle Company lowered their kit price to $20 for the month of December. Originally $59.95. I went into my potential recruits folder and emailed everyone that had requested information in the past about the company. Most like to know when there is a sign on special.
What other ways work on spreading the news that there is an awesome change that your company made? Do you call or email your past customers also?

I e-mail all past customers, potential recruits, past hostesses and any other contact that I've gathered. Then I add a ps at the bottom that if they'd like to be taken off of my list to let me know!
I try not to make the e-mails more than once a month max..

I use e mail mostly, to let people know or sometimes I will send a
flyer in the mail to my mailing list customers. By the way Tamra,

Tamra-
One other thing I would strongly encourage you to do is CALL all of your
leads and past hostesses/customers. It's important to CALL though-
don't email- and let them know you are contacting all of your customers
and hostesses to take final orders for gift orders, to ensure they will
arrive in time for the holidays. THEN if people seem interested in placing
an order or getting candles for gifts, I would NEXT tell them your
awesome news about the special pricing on the kit... Explain that this
would be a great opportunity to start an exciting home based business
for the new year, as well as to get great discounts on products that can be
used for gifts and ALSO become a tax write off!
You may not get any "takers" on the kit during your calling, but remember
that Jan-March is the biggest downsizing (layoff !) season of the year for
corporations... People you've talked with who may end up looking for a
new means of income in January are likely to remember talking iwth you
about your business (if they were even remotely interested when you
mentioned it) and call you for more information!
Best of luck- isn't working for yourself the greatest?!smileys/smiley4.gif

I think it's a good idea to call too. Most people feel more comfortable with us once we've talked to them on the phone or in person. It lets them know they will be signing with a real person, not a computer.
I like Kitt's suggestion, and I think you should definately mention the kit offer to everyone you talk to. Some people like to join DSfor the discount, and the low cost of the kit might make them decide to join, and do their last minute Christmas shopping with themselves.
Good luck!! I love a good promo!
