Is your computer still under warranty? If so, you could contact the manufacturer and they should be able to help you. If your no longer under warranty, they can still help you but for a fee, of course.
What exactly is wrong? Maybe we can help you.

Most computer repairs places will send a technician to your home. However, you will ususally pay a premium for these services. Depends on what is wrong with your computer whether it would be worth it to pay the price. If you let me know what is wrong with your computer and a little about your pc (i.e. what type do you have and what is your OS and RAM) I would be more than happy to try to help you...

Geek Squad is a part of best buy. You can take your computer into the store (they have a geek squad in stores) or you can have geek squad come to your home. It would be cheaper to take the computer into the store though.

I found a great guy on craiglist. You maybe be able to find someone on there that offer a flat rate. I know a lot of companies charge by the hour.

thanks so much for your replies. Sorry it took so long for me to answer. I had company at my house yesterday. My main problem I am having right now is that I cannot hear audio when on the internet. I have sound on my computer, as long as it is not from the internet. And itunes plays.
The problem is that I need sound for watching videos for a job training.

I'm sorry I didn't catch you before you had the company out. My brother had the same problem. I told him to turn the computer off, unplug the monitor from the CPU (computer box) and then unplug the box fromthe power strip (or wall outlet).Wait 30 seconds, plug the monitorand CPU back in and restart the computer. He said that fixed it. If the company you had come out, hasn't fixed it yet you can try that.
good luck

Is your OS Windows XP Home? Our desktop PC had similar problem. I got an error message when I tried to adjust the volume, then I googled the error message, and I found the solution. I couldn't remember the exact error message, but I remember it was relate to one of Windows Services.
If you got any sort of error message, you can google that error/warning message, and might find the solution.
