View Full Version : Open House Spa?

I mainly signed up for BeautiControl last fall and took advantage of the $99. I didn't really plan to do much with it.

Now, the more I learn about the company, the more I want to become involved and start holding spas. Not to mention, I am very unhappy with my job right now and also, we could use some extra income.

I was thinking to sort of "kickstart" my business to have maybe an open house spa say for a couple of hours on a Saturday afternoon.

Invite friends, family, anyone I can think of. Have the stations set up and let them try the products and use that day as a booking tool.

Has anyone done this before? Do you have any suggestions and or other ideas that maybe I could try?

Thanks!

That is a fantastic idea and there have been tons of posts about it. Use the Search function or just start scrolling back through the pages. A lot of girls on here held open houses right around the holidays.

Vannie....another idea and this is just me...but have a spa at your home instead of an open house...don't get me wrong...an open house is definitely a great way to showcase your products and has worked great for consultants...but to me having a spa is more of giving your friends something...the spa experience....and this way they will know what the spa escape is all about and will be excited about it and want to have one for you....another tip is some booking information thats been passed around thru the units and is also isin your consultant guide on how to approach your friends and family and just getting on the phone for bookings.... hope this helps...good luck...glad you're here!

My first spa was at my house. I sent out postcards to all my friends and set up my house like it really was a luxurious spa retreat. I dimmed the lights, bought some pretty plates (that looked like they came from a spa) from Target (really cheap, I might add--they were plastic square plates with bamboo designs on them, and really nice!), had spa music playing, had tea lights everywhere, had scented candles burning, heated and rolled up my hand towels and put them in a huge fancy bowl, I served fruit and bottled water.

When everyone arrived, I asked them to kick off their shoes and relax and then I had them go through all of the stations. since my first spa was at my house, I felt like I had complete control of how everything looked, how everything was paced and how I would structure everything. It was great!

You could even make it a couples spa, where the wives and husbands can spa each other. They can massage each others hands and/or feet, rub each others shoulders, give each other facials. I never got a chance to try this when I was doing spa's, but if I ever did start back up, I would.

The best part is, you don't have to go anywhere, pack anything, or try to remember what you didn't bring.
