There has never been one of these near me before, but I just found out there may be a new chapter opening near me.
If you've never heard of it before, here's a link to their site:

I guess they have monthly get togethers to share their businesses with others. Some of the chapters are very big.... some are very small.
Just curious if anyone belongs to one and if you feel it is beneficial to your business.

I belong to one. This chapter started in September and the director is really trying hard to make it succeed. NOt too many members, it's pretty small. I think it's membership fee is too high ($99 for the year). I joinedin at a special$25 for the first 6 months and I don't think I'll be re-newing the membership fee for $99. Not too much going on at our mixer's with only about 3 o4 for showing up for the meetings. There is another localWAHM'S group in my area and the fee is only $30 for membership and the lady that runs that one does shows year round (this group is in San Antonio- for ladies in Texas), Its an excellent group.

I looked into starting one where I am, but it really looked like way more work than what I was willing to put in (to be the coordintaor anyway). As far as the group, I think it's a neat concept! Could be good for business.

i've looked into it, but locally it hasn't done well and its expensive, and I can't do sat. meetings, which is when our group meets. i've found I have a lot of local networking and vendor fairs without paying a membership fee

I agree with you Debbie. You can find lots of local networking without the huge fee. I really don't think this one in my are is going to last very long.
