Anybody know what the active ingredient is in the Skinlogics Cleansing Gel? One of my clients is using this product in a project for school and needs to know.

Thank you!

Hi BeautiDiva-

Here is what is listed on BeautiNet under product information for Skinlogics Cleansing Gel. Maybe this will help....??

Skinlogics Cleansing Gel washes away dirt, debris, oil and makeup, and rinses off quickly and easily without stripping skin of essential moisture. Formulated with salicylic acid to help mildly exfoliate, help control oil and protect skin. It may help discourage bacteria as well. Key ingredients include: Revitalin to help enhance skin metabolism; vitamin A, C and E; mild surfactants to cleanse, but not strip skin of essential oil; salicylic acid to help mildly exfoliate the skin; sodium hyaluronate to help replenish lot moisture; panthenol, a vitamin B derivative, to help soothe and nurture skin; calming complex- allantoin, aloe, oat extract and dandelion extract to help calm and soothe skin.
Dermatologist, sensitivity and allergy tested. Non-comedogenic.

you can go to Beautinet and click on Consultant Guide on the left menu and Chapter 4 All about the Products will give you all the ingredients of all the products. Or you can go to Product Info Center and click on the cleaser there for the ingredients list. I think this is where Spa5 got her info above.

I've already done that. There isn't one ingredient that's listed as the active ingredient.

the only other alternative is to email Gary that question. Good luck with your project.

There shouldn't be an "active ingredient" in Skinlogics Cleansing Gel. Active ingredients are in just some of our products. The ones I know off the top of my head are the sunscreen ingredients and salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide in the All Clear line. I just grabbed a Corticure and it has Allantoin and Hydrocortisone listed as "active", too.The strength of the ingredients has to reach a certain level for them to be listed seperately as "active". For example, allantoin is in several of our products (I think) but it shows up as "Active" in corticure because it's at 0.55%. The same is true with the salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide in the All Clear line. On some of the products, they might be in the ingredient list but not be strong enough to be listed as "active". I hope this helps.

Just thought I'd let you know what Gary said:

“Active” ingredients are only relevant if there is an OTC (over the counter drug) strength ingredient in the formula. This is a not an OTC product, so there isn’t an “active” ingredient. One of the key ingredients for helping control blemishes is salicylic acid.

I hope this is helpful.
