I signed up for a Crop in March. I asked her if I could donate some
product to be auctioned off (this is for a mission trip) and she told
me she would make me a "featured guest" She said she will have a very
small area for me to put my books, business cards and a display. I
emailed and asked if I could do a half hour demo of a facial and then
a half hour of the hands- waiting to hear back on that yet.
Anyhow, what would you suggest I do for the give-away baskets? I want to do 2 I think and have a good selection in each. I was thinking of all
minis so I can do both face and feet. Should I include a guide and
business cards and maybe a sheet on the Hostess plan, etc? This is
only my second crop and it is my very first time doing a give away,
but I need to learn how to do them soon. I have another fundraiser in
May (which I need to make the basket a high end item) and other crops
coming I could do this for. This is a great way for me to get the
word out seeing no one in my area ever heard of BC, but I want to do
it the right way!
Thanks for any insight!

okay well this is something i know about...are you able to spa tghe ladies while they are scrapbooking? If so I would avoid any lotions and SOH until the end so the oils do not get on their pages, but you could do skincare, foot soaks, lip apeel, face masks...these are things they can apply and have on while they are working and rinse later...you can do SOH at the end...I have attended lots of crops that are at churches(my creative memories consultant does a crop once a month at her church)...these are usually pretty laid back and everyone is in their jammies, so the spa thing usually fits right in...
as for your baskets you don't want to spend too much...minis or full size that you got on sale...and a gift certificate for a pampering session of her own with her friends(a SPAEscape) maybe you could also auction off the SPAEscape and ask people how much would you be willing to pay for this experience or how much do you think it is worth? i know we don't usually charge for it, but since all the $$ would go to missions...or you could book spas and offer a % of the sales to the fundraiser

My sister and I are both in BC and are AVID scrapbookers. For the Crop for The Cure we put together a give away. Get one of them small round scraptool holders.....with all the pockets......stuff with shred and minis and a gift certificate.....the girls loved it! They come in different colors so maybe a pink one for the face and a blue one for the feet.......
Another thing my sis did, that I have yet to do, that I thought was cute.....instead of the bag showing all the reasons you joined BC, she did a mini accordian album with pics (easier to pack in spa bag)and shegoes through that and at the end she says" BC also allows me time for my passion.....scrapbooking."
Just thought I would share.
