I was wondering which companies collects the State Sales Tax and submit it to the Consultants State?

Does your company have consultant websites with online ordering for your customers?
If so, how much do you have to pay for them?

Is there a quarterly/monthly quota you have to sell to stay active?
If so, what is it?

What is the cost forshipping ? If it was sent to you/hostess, or/and sent directly to the customer.

Other then supplies, is there any other fees/cost you have to pay?

What is the commission?

And last, what is the cost to join?

Thank you for your time!

I was wondering which companies collects the State Sales Tax and submit it to the Consultants State?Big Yellow Box takes care of that.

Does your company have consultant websites with online ordering for your customers? We don't have on-line ordering. BYB is really focused on bringing people togethersmileys/smiley4.gif

Do you have to dohome parties, or can you just do catalog sales or/and online orders? Home parties are the best way to promote your business with BYB, I would say..but you also can do catalog shows!

Is there a quarterly/monthly quota you have to sell to stay active?
If so, what is it?No monthly, it's $300 in sales within a rolling 3 month period.

What is the cost forshipping ? If it was sent to you/hostess, or/and sent directly to the customer. The cost for shipping is a minimum of $3.50 and, if it's over $35~it's 10%

Other then supplies, is there any other fees/cost you have to pay? Nosmileys/smiley4.gif

What is the commission? Commission to start is 25%, plus sales incentivesand bonuses. (and of course as your business grows, so does your commission)

I was wondering which companies collects the State Sales Tax and submit it to the Consultants State? lia sophia does this for us!

Does your company have consultant websites with online ordering for your customers? Yes we have consultant websites and a customer can go to our website and place an order under a hostess.
If so, how much do you have to pay for them? $9.95 a month

Do you have to dohome parties, or can you just do catalog sales or/and online orders? You can do all of the above but you definitely make out better with home shows, when people get to see the jewelry, it really makes a difference.

Is there a quarterly/monthly quota you have to sell to stay active?
If so, what is it? To be considered "active" an advisor must submit $250 in sales in a quarter.

What is the cost forshipping ? If it was sent to you/hostess, or/and sent directly to the customer. S/H is a flat $3.80 per order irregardless of the size for the hostess and the advisor and if it is a direct sales order for one customer, it gets sent to them and s/h is always $3.80.

Other then supplies, is there any other fees/cost you have to pay? The only fee taken out of our check is $6.00 for a show that the hostess uses the hostess bonus items.

What is the commission? 30% for an advisor and 40% for a Unit Manager

And last, what is the cost to join? $99.00 which includes 12 pieces of jewelry, jewelry tote bag, beautiful blue display cloth, display tray and all the paperwork supplies you need to get started. If you would like more information on lia sophia, please e-mail me at tweetygirlrae@aol.com I would be glad to help you out.

Hi Sandy,

I can answer your questions about Watkins.smileys/smiley1.gif

If you have any other questions, feel free to pm me or visit the link in my banner.

I was wondering which companies collect the State Sales Tax and submit it to the Consultants State? Watkins collects sales tax and submits it to the state.

Does your company have consultant websites with online ordering for your customers? Yes
If so, how much do you have to pay for them? The basic e-package is free, and the e-associate website that you can personalize costs $19.95 a month.

The Summit Group also gives all of it's members a free website. Click here (http://www.mel44.com) to see mine.

Do you have to dohome parties, or can you just do catalog sales or/and online orders? Parties are not required at all. You can run your Watkins business how you want to run it.

Is there a quarterly/monthly quota you have to sell to stay active?
If so, what is it? Watkins has no quotas or monthly minimums.

What is the cost forshipping ? If it was sent to you/hostess, or/and sent directly to the customer. If the order is sent to me, shipping is $8.25 for orders under $50 and about 9% on orders over $50. For customers who order directly from Watkins over the phone or online, the shipping is $5.95 for orders under $30, $8.95 for orders between $30-$75, and free for orders over $75.

Other then supplies, is there any other fees/cost you have to pay? There is a yearly fee of $30, and that's the only fee we have!

What is the commission? We make between 25% and 39%.

And last, what is the cost to join? TheBasic Kitis $59.95, but wehave a few options when it comes tojoining. One of the options is to"earn your kit", which means you can join without spending a dime!

Sandy,

I would love to share some information with you about the Bittersweet Candle Company and answer your questions for you.

I was wondering which companies collects the State Sales Tax and submit it to the Consultants State? Bittersweet Candle Company collects sales tax for you and submits it to your state (and your out of state customers' state). One less thing that you'll need to worry about.

Does your company have consultant websites with online ordering for your customers? Yes, Bittersweet does offer you online ordering for your customers with drop shipping right to their door.
If so, how much do you have to pay for them? The websites are FREE!

Do you have to dohome parties, or can you just do catalog sales or/and online orders? You do not have to do home parties. It's all up to you on how you want to run your business. I do mine 90% online. You can just focus on online sales, catalog sales, online parties or in-home parties or a mixture of all! It's up to you.

Is there a quarterly/monthly quota you have to sell to stay active?
If so, what is it? There are no quotas and no minimum order amounts. Order as little or as much as you'd like. There is no low order fee. I know some companies charge a fee if your order is below a certain amount - not Bittersweet Candle Co.

What is the cost forshipping ? If it was sent to you/hostess, or/and sent directly to the customer. The cost to ship an order is approx. $1 per item with a minimum of $10. The order can be sent to you, your hostess or directly to the customer. If you hold a catalog party and want it all shipped to the hostess, you can do that. Shipping Cost - Let's say you have an order for 18 items - shipping would be $18.

Other then supplies, is there any other fees/cost you have to pay? There is an annual renewal fee that is due sometime in March. Other than that there are no fees. Speaking of supplies - we alsohave a professional, high quality catalog.

What is the commission? 40%

And last, what is the cost to join? $59.95

Hi Sandy, I will answer for White Lily:

I was wondering which companies collects the State Sales Tax and submit it to the Consultants State? White Lily does not currently do this, but hopefully at the beginning of 2006 they will have the program completely implemented to take care of taxes for all the consultants. However - I will tell you this - getting a sales and use tax id number is not nearly as intimidating as it may seem! I keep track of all of my sales regardless, so every three months when I need to do taxes I have the info right there - and I can do it all online. Easy!

Does your company have consultant websites with online ordering for your customers? Yes! You will receiveyour firstmonth free as part of your kit purchase, after that it is $5/month. Or you can build your own website - like I have done - and then you pay your cost for hosting.

Do you have to dohome parties, or can you just do catalog sales or/and online orders? You can sell however you want to, wherever you want (just not on ebay!). Personally, I do most of my business online, I do some catalog parties, and every few months I hold an open house for local friends and neighbors. I have never done a home party, and with a 10 month old daughter I don't forsee that happening any time soon!

Is there a quarterly/monthly quota you have to sell to stay active?
If so, what is it? There are no quotas with White Lily for consultants.

What is the cost forshipping ? If it was sent to you/hostess, or/and sent directly to the customer. It is actual UPS shipping costs, regardless of who it is sent to. I have found most orders to have about $7-$9 shipping costs. I charge shipping to all of my customers.

Other then supplies, is there any other fees/cost you have to pay? The kit purchase is the only thing you need to buy to become a consultant with White Lily. Anything above and beyond that is up to you! The website is the only additional monthly cost if you choose to keep the site - $5/month. I usually order business cards, magnets, notecards, etc online.

What is the commission? 25% base commission, when you build a team you can earn up to 6% on your downline. You have the opportunity to purchase products at a discount of up to 40%.

And last, what is the cost to join? Our kits range from $40-$105, and we also offer the opportunity to earn your kit for FREE!

Baby Crazy offers toys and necessities for infants, toddlers & preschoolers...and some fun stuff for mama's and soon-to-be-mamas!

I was wondering which companies collects the State Sales Tax and submit it to the Consultants State? As a consultant, I do not have to worry about sales tax - the company takes care of it for me.

Does your company have consultant websites with online ordering for your customers? If so, how much do you have to pay for them? Yes, we pay $4.95/month for our websites, or you can build your own.

Do you have to dohome parties, or can you just do catalog sales or/and online orders? Again, you can do whatever you want! Whatever combination works for you - you can do it!

What is the cost forshipping ? If it was sent to you/hostess, or/and sent directly to the customer. Shipping is a flat $6.95 per order, regardless of size.

Other then supplies, is there any other fees/cost you have to pay? Nope!

What is the commission? 20%

And last, what is the cost to join? $99-$249

One of the nice things about Baby Crazy is that any orders that come through the corporate site (not through your consultant website) that are billed to your zip code - get credited towards you and your sales! You can learn more at www.BabyCrazyToys.com (http://www.BabyCrazyToys.com) or email me Rebecca@BabyCrazyToys.com

Gourmet To Go:

I was wondering which companies collects the State Sales Tax and submit it to the Consultants State? I do not have to collect sales tax to submit to my state.

Does your company have consultant websites with online ordering for your customers? If so, how much do you have to pay for them? Not at the present time - customers can order through the company site using your name, or you can set up your own personal site.

Do you have to dohome parties, or can you just do catalog sales or/and online orders? You can sell however, whenever, wherever you want!

Is there a quarterly/monthly quota you have to sell to stay active?
If so, what is it? $100 every three months

What is the cost forshipping ? If it was sent to you/hostess, or/and sent directly to the customer. Varies based on actual shipping - usually $6-$8 (UPS or USPS)

Other then supplies, is there any other fees/cost you have to pay? Nope!

What is the commission? 40%+ on your personal sales, 10% on your recruits/downline

And last, what is the cost to join? Simply place any order of any size at wholesale, and you will receive all the information to become a distributor with your order!

I would like to share Discovery Toys with you!!!!!!

I was wondering which companies collects the State Sales Tax and submit it to the Consultants State? Discovery Toys does distribute sales tax collected on orders to the appropriate places.

Does your company have consultant websites with online ordering for your customers? YES
If so, how much do you have to pay for them? FREE for first 3 months and only $19.99/month afterwards

Do you have to dohome parties, or can you just do catalog sales or/and online orders? You can do so much with Discovery Toys besides home parties and catalog and online sales. You can work personally with schools, daycares, doctor's offices, homeschool groups/moms, churches and many more to set up programs tailored to the age group they wish to have products for. You can do Toyraisers and Fundraisers or just do personal shopping appointments with them.

Is there a quarterly/monthly quota you have to sell to stay active?
If so, what is it? I believe you just have to have an order placed every 60 or 90 days. Debbie, please correct me if I'm wrong on this :-)

What is the cost forshipping ? If it was sent to you/hostess, or/and sent directly to the customer. If a party is shipped to the Hostess or me to deliver the cost to the customer is 12% of their retail total which saves money for the ladies that only purchase one thing. If it is sent directly to the customer without being through a party they pay 12% or $6.25, whichever is greater. If it is through a party they pay what I just stated plus a $5 handling fee.

Other then supplies, is there any other fees/cost you have to pay? If you choose to keep the website that is AWESOME after the 3 months, just the $19.99/mo and that's all.

What is the commission? Starting 25% of wholesale sales and it goes up to 30 and 35% as your sales for the month go up and there are very attainable ways to make alot more than that!

And last, what is the cost to join? Rocketstart Kit is $99. You can pay that up front or you can pay $25 down on a credit/debit and pay the remaining balance in 2 equal monthly payments. The best part is that you can earn your $99 back from the company simply by selling $1250 in 12 weeks and you win tons of prizes for your business along the way by doing that!!!

Northern Lights at Home

I was wondering which companies collects the State Sales Tax and submit it to the Consultants State? Northern Lights at Home does collect sales tax for the presenters unless they are the 1st presenter in that state. Then you would need to do it until they get all the paperwork, etc. filed to do it for you. They begin the process as soon as someone asks for it.

Does your company have consultant websites with online ordering for your customers? We have our own websites, but we don't have the ordering online. Customers can view the catalog and then call you with their order.
If so, how much do you have to pay for them?$14.85 for 3 months

Do you have to dohome parties, or can you just do catalog sales or/and online orders? You need to do home parties.

Is there a quarterly/monthly quota you have to sell to stay active?
If so, what is it? $300/quarter

What is the cost forshipping ? If it was sent to you/hostess, or/and sent directly to the customer. Shipping starts at $4.95 and goes up according tohow much you order. Approx. $1 for every $20 in sales. It's sent to the host unless the customer pays to have shipped to them or a gift recipient.

Other then supplies, is there any other fees/cost you have to pay?Just the kit to get started.

What is the commission?30% with a 5% bonus for sales of $1200 or more per month.

And last, what is the cost to join?Cost is $199 or $249 and there is a kit refund program where you can earn it all back or you can do a pilot party and take the host credits and commission toward your kit.

Does your company have consultant websites with online ordering for your customers? The Traveling Vineyard has an aftermarket website for customers that have been to wine tastings previously and are interested in ordering more wine and accessories online.
If so, how much do you have to pay for them? WE don't have company sponsered websites yet, but they are slated for first quarter 2006!

Do you have to dohome parties, or can you just do catalog sales or/and online orders? In-home wine tastings

Is there a quarterly/monthly quota you have to sell to stay active?
If so, what is it? We have to hold 2 tastings every 2 months

What is the cost forshipping ? If it was sent to you/hostess, or/and sent directly to the customer. 7.95 to the hostess, 11.95 to your home. This for up to a case of wine and unlimited accessories

I'm with Mary Kay and Temptations parties.

I'll tell you about Mary Kay first:

I was wondering which companies collects the State Sales Tax and submit it to the Consultants State? Yes, Mary Kay does that

Does your company have consultant websites with online ordering for your customers? Yes.
If so, how much do you have to pay for them? Your first year is $25, and it's $50 per year after that.

Do you have to dohome parties, or can you just do catalog sales or/and online orders? You can do all 3 or just one. The best sales come from parties, though. Also, Mary Kay sends out new catalogs to your customers (with free samples) every 3 months if you want them to.

Is there a quarterly/monthly quota you have to sell to stay active?
If so, what is it? Yes, you must order $200 wholesale every 3 months.

What is the cost forshipping ? If it was sent to you/hostess, or/and sent directly to the customer. Everything is shipped to you. Mary Kay ships to you by UPS and it's $8.95, no matter if you order $10 worth of products or $1,000 worth!

Other then supplies, is there any other fees/cost you have to pay? None.

What is the commission? 50% on selling your product, and you can earn 4%, 9%, or 13% commission from your recruits (if you coose to recruit) depending on your status.

And last, what is the cost to join? $100 plus tax & shipping. It includes over $300 worth of full-size products and everything you need to get started! Also, after you start, you can get inventory if you want to have orders onhand for your customers, otherwise mailing it works just as well!

And now I will tell you about Temptations:

I was wondering which companies collects the State Sales Tax and submit it to the Consultants State? Temptations does NOT collect tax for you, you do it yourself & send it in. It's not as hard as it sounds!

Does your company have consultant websites with online ordering for your customers? Yes
so, how much do you have to pay for them? It's free, but all it is is a contact page for people to contact you. I'm making up my own with all the products on it. We're not allowed to sell on the Internet, so on my Web site, I have people contact me to order after they're done shopping.

Do you have to dohome parties, or can you just do catalog sales or/and online orders? You can do parties, catalog sales, Trade Shows, Expos, but we can't sell directly off the Internet as I said above.

Is there a quarterly/monthly quota you have to sell to stay active?
If so, what is it? There is none. As long as you put in an order once a year (doesn't matter what size) you're considered "active".

What is the cost forshipping ? If it was sent to you/hostess, or/and sent directly to the customer. All products are sent to you. Shipping depends on what size order you place.

Other then supplies, is there any other fees/cost you have to pay? No

What is the commission? 50% on everything you sell. Plus you get 5% commission from your recruits (if you decide to recruit). Since Temptations is a division of Adam & Eve, we can order stuff from Adam & Eve and Sinclair Institute for 40% off, and stuff from Adam Male for 30% off.

And last, what is the cost to join? Depends on what size kit you want to start with. There is a $75 kit (just catalogs & stuff for doing catalog parties to earn a bigger kit for demos), a $250 kit, a $550 kit, a $850 kit, a $1150 kit, and a $1500 kit. I just started with the $250 kit and it's worked fine.

If you have any questions about these two companies, feel free to PM me!

Krystal pretty much got it with Discovery Toys! smileys/smiley36.gifShe's awesome and taking the company by storm!

Just a couple things to add.

For quota's, it's $100 a year before the computer drops you. But $100 per quarter to be considered active.

Commission: As a group manager, it's up to 40% of your personal sales.

Plus you get from 3% to 15% of your team sales.

Not only does Discovery Toys take care of the sales tax for you, they also offer credit card services free for consultants, and free bags (which I guess is a big thing!). Plus they pay for the amazing hostess program.

Best of luck in your search! Follow your passion.

Hi! I can answer for The Pampered Chef~

I was wondering which companies collects the State Sales Tax and submit it to the Consultants State? Pampered Chef takes care of every order from every state. Including not charging for those states/territories that don't have sales tax.

Does your company have consultant websites with online ordering for your customers? We do have online ordering. Pampered Chef just recently allowed us to have individual ordering on our websites as well as those that are adding to a show.

Do you have to dohome parties, or can you just do catalog sales or/and online orders? We can do all of the above. Catalog shows are less sucessful as a rule. But if you are in an area that has lots of Pampered Chef consultants, most customers already know about the product and don't want to waste the time to attend a kitchen show.

Is there a quarterly/monthly quota you have to sell to stay active?
If so, what is it? No monthly quota, it's $200 in salesin a2 month period before you go inactive. Then any time in the next 12 months to re-activate.

What is the cost forshipping ? If it was sent to you/hostess, or/and sent directly to the customer. The shipping is free for hosts.$2.75 for all customers when shipping to the host, it varies based on purchases for individual shipping.

Other then supplies, is there any other fees/cost you have to pay? We have a fee for our websites, $42/bi-annually or $72/annually. The only fee we pay is $2.00 per month to insure ourselves in a customer's home (if you slice up someone's brand new marble countertops...the insurance pays for it!!!). WeDON'T pay for our 1st set of catalogs, order forms, software, etc each season. Any additional that you order, there is a fee.

What is the commission? Commission to start is 20%, plus sales incentivesand bonuses. Your commission will increase on a regular basis depending on your individual achievements. You can even earn a trip toEurope or a Carribean cruise!!

And last, what is the cost to join? You can apply your host benefit to your Starter Kit with either a $20 or $40 credit. This leaves only $70 or $50 cost to you. A kit straight off the street is $90, it includes more than 20 of our best selling products and all of your business supplies to get you started! So host a show and reap the benefits of starting your own business for only $50!!

Feel free to pm me if you have any further questions! I would be happy to answer your questions honestly and objectively!

To add to the PC information:

Shipping is actually $3.50 per customer when
shipping with the hosts order. Individual shipping is
available.

Also, not only does our hosts receive a discount on
the night of her party but 10% on any purchase for a
year plus the opportunity to purchase the host
special at her friend's show (as long as the show is
booked from her show) at 60% off.

We do pay $4 each new season for enough
paperwork to complete 5 host packets for the new
season plus new training materials.

In our kit you receive some of the top kitchen tools
that we have plus you have the ability to earn
hundreds of dollars more in FREE products in your
first 3 months plus opportunities through out the
year.

When you recruit and help other's start their own
Pampered Chef business you receive free catalogs
and $50 PC to use for supplies, conference, and
kitchen tools for the first 5 qualified recruits.

Good Luck with your search!

I'll help you out with answers from Southern Living at HOME

I was wondering which companies collects the State Sales Tax and submit it to the Consultants State? Southern Living at Home takes care of the taxes for us.

Does your company have consultant websites with online ordering for your customers? Yes! At this time, the orders must be on a "Party" order to ship to the hostess. However, there are plans to offer Drop Shipping.
If so, how much do you have to pay for them? Yes, $80 a year, or $20 a quarter. First month is free.

Do you have to dohome parties, or can you just do catalog sales or/and online orders? You don't have to do home parties, but I'll tell you from experience, you make a lot more through home parties. Face to Face Contact is the best way to sell merchandise, book more shows, and sponsor.

Is there a quarterly/monthly quota you have to sell to stay active?
If so, what is it? NO, but if you sponsor new consultants and want to get paid on their sales, you do have to sell $500 a month. If you don't meet that miminum requirement, you just don't get paid on your team that month. You don't lose your team or lose your title.

What is the cost forshipping ? If it was sent to you/hostess, or/and sent directly to the customer. The shipping fees are increase by how much you spend. Most of our items are very large. All the way up to a 20 pound Fireplace Screen.Shipping starts at $3 and increases. Up to $10 on $100 in sales.Hostesses receive free shipping with a party $250 or more.

Other then supplies, is there any other fees/cost you have to pay? This is something that really sets Southern Living at HOME apart. Consultants receive FREE business supply credits to purchase catalogs, order forms, miniature cookbooks for giveaways, etc. You receive 5% on all your sales (extra) to go into a business supply account. Plus, have you seen our Catalogs? Southern Living is a publishing company and our catalogs look like magazines.

What is the commission? You receive 25% on your retail sales. PLus up to an additional 9% on the sales of your team.

And last, what is the cost to join? $199

Good questions! Good luck with your decision.

I'll be happy to answer for Home & Garden Party:

was wondering which companies collects the State Sales Tax and submit it to the Consultants State? Yes, HGP collects and submits it for you.

Does your company have consultant websites with online ordering for your customers? You may use the company website: www.homeandgardenparty.com (http://www.homeandgardenparty.com) for your website or you can purchase or build a website of your own. WWW Regulations on posted on the company website. An online catalog is available on the website with prices and item numbers.

If so, how much do you have to pay for them? Use of company website is free and what you pay for your own personal website is up to you.

Do you have to dohome parties, or can you just do catalog sales or/and online orders? No, your business is just that, Yours! Work when you want, where you want and how you want.

Is there a quarterly/monthly quota you have to sell to stay active?
If so, what is it? We do not have sales quotas but youDO need to sell at least $300 per month to be considered "active" and earn residual income from your downline (if you sign up new designers). You do not, however, have to sell $300/month to earn your commission. You will always earn your 30% or 40% commission no matter how much you sell each month.

What is the cost forshipping ? If it was sent to you/hostess, or/and sent directly to the customer. The usual cost is 10% of total retail sales.

Other then supplies, is there any other fees/cost you have to pay? There is a $7 administration fee for every order of $100 or more that you key in the system OR a $4 fee for orders $50 and under. Half-price selections cost you $2 no matter what the amount of the item (it can be the most expensive in the book).

What is the commission? You will earn 30% of your sales for the first $1500 you sell and then immediate promote to 40% Commission! You can earn 10% residual income from your first $1500 of your1st leveldownline Designers and 3% residual income from your 2nd and 3rd downlines.

And last, what is the cost to join? We have 4 kits to chose from. Two are $99 and two are $149. They are more than 50% off of the retail cost and you do no pay shipping for your kit. You only pay sales tax based on your home address. I also offer a Sign-UpSpecial for my newRecruits on my team that will earn you $90 cash back if you sell your $1500 within your first 50 days of signing. I'd be happy to email you pictures or mail you printed material to go over.

Good Luck in your search & God Bless!
