Grrr, this is my first year trying the letters and only got 1 order (for 2 letters) from a friend. I also sent them to my children. They came in the mail today and although I mailed them to the "North Pole" Postmaster, they came with a Fairbanks postmark.

What is up with that? Do they send them to other post offices, if the North Pole gets too backed up? Did anyone else have this happen?

I think next year I will make my own postmark and just send them to the parents.http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley7.gif

Did you put a letter in them to the postmaster requesting the North Pole cancellation?

I did put in a letter requesting a postmark, maybe I didn't specify "North Pole" although it wasobvious they were letters from Santa since the return address on each of the envelopes was "Santa Claus North Pole". At least they went to a friend and not to someone I don't know personally.

Yeah friends are more forgiving lol. The first year is a learning experience. I only did 3 paid letters my first year this year I did around 35 with 24 of those going to Alaska. Next year I am not going to offer the north pole option I am going to do something different. It is just stressfull for me to get two sets of orders going on with two different due dates. Plus I am a seasonal tax preparer so I am in class and training this time of year. I am going to have a few exciting changes next year for my letters but same quality.
