For Today ONLY (December 17th), take advantage of EVERY SINGLE product offer from December 1st through December 16th. Now, that would exclude those days that had non-product offers, so the offers on the 4th, 10th and the 14th are not included.
In other words, order today and you can:
• Buy one lip color and get one free.
• Order 4 Naughty and Nice Stocking minis and get 2 free. (while supplies last)
• Get 30% off of all Herbal Serenity products. (except the Body Scrub)
• Get 30% off of the Therma Del Sol and Luxuries of the Seas products.
• Purchase minis sets for just $5.00 with a $300.00 order. Includes Naughty and Nice, Spa Escapes and Save Your Sole. Limit 10 sets per order, any combination. (while supplies last)
• Buy Show of Hands Cuticle Salve and get Age Defying Hand Treatment for ½ price.
• Buy any 3 Spa Sugar products and get another of equal or lesser value for an outrageously discounted price .
• Get your choice of Herbal Hydrating Mist or Skinlogics Lip Balm SPF 20 for a low, low price. Limit 3 at discounted price.
• Buy any men's product and get a second one of equal or lesser value at ½ off.
• Get a grab bag with a $200.00 order. ($50.00 value)

Thanks for posting this! Great offer!
These cosmetics companies are really wanting to move the merchandise. I got a "come back in" offer from another cosmetics company I had been associated with--would only have to order $150 to get $300, wouldn't have to pay to rejoin.

It's not just cosmetics companies. Any business with a year-end on 12/31 wants to lower their inventories. As a consultant, I do the same thing -- I give away as Christmas gifts my excess inventory. Although in retail December is a big selling month, it is a slow one for direct sales. So BeautiControl has to up the sales to us to get us to buy. I then pass on the sales to my clients to get them to buy. At least that's my best guess as to what is going on.

The grab bag, hand 1oz, and 2nd lip color didn't show up even after checkout. I emailed the company in hopes that they will add them to my order.

I'm a new consultant this year so haven't done taxes before. why do we need to get rid of our inventory? is it for tax reasons?

I personally take advantage of the busy holiday season to move my inventory because I want to makemoney on the sales, empty my shelves, and start the new year fresh. The "holiday" themed inventory is whatI definitely want tosell, because on December 26th its not on anyone's shopping radar near as much as it was before.
To get a jump-start onyour tax planning, go to www.irs.gov (http://www.irs.gov) and print out a copy of a Schedule C. Even if you plan on taking your taxes to a paid preparer, it will help you with getting all of your expenses together so you maximize your tax advantages.

I just heard from my director that inventory at the end of the year counts as profit, not a write-off. So you want as little as possible so you don't pay taxes on it.

Johanna is correct, I think. I've been doing my own taxes for my business for 18 years. On December 31st I take a December order form and record all the current inventory I have (I personally don't include discontinued items) and value them at my cost (since I always buy at 50% I value it at 50% plus tax on retail). I try to have my inventory not vary too much year to year and I try to have it as low as possible. So I sell to myself any products that I plan to use in the next couple months and I give BeautiControl as gifts to my friends/relatives. It's not a big deal to pay taxes on it. If you are just starting out, it may not be a big deal at all. But once it's a money-making business and you want to write-off your expenses against income (and BeautiControl is reporting your commissions to the IRS) then you have to file schedule Cs.
I use Quicken to keep track of my check book, credit card, income, and expenses because that's what I'm used to using. But doing it by hand the first time will help you if you ever want to go electronic.
I also agree with Misty about not carrying holiday themed inventory into the new year. But I think the Naughty & Nice theme will work well for Valentines so I'm not worried about having it on my shelf this year.
