I am signing up for Shure Pets this week. If you saw info or a lead box about Shure Pets (www.shurepets.com (http://www.shurepets.com)) would you enter/call to receive more info on hosting a pet party to earn free items for your pet(s)....

I entered maybe. I'm just not sure if I could convince friends and family to go to a pet party. There are only about 3 people who I can think of who would definately come to a party. The rest I'm not sure of.

I'm definitely a pet lover... I almost went to vet school. BUT, I've never been much into spending $ on pet pampering. So, I had to vote "no." I KNOW there's a market for it though... I met plenty of folks at the vet where I used to work who would be into this sort of thing!

Just an idea... the vet I visit has a big rescue program. Maybe if you found a few vet clinicsin your area that runrescue programs, you could offerfundraisers. I think in many cases, these rescues can barely cover their operating costs with the adoption fees, so they may jump at the idea of a fundraiser. If you set up your display in a clinic for 1-2 weeks, think of how much exposure you would get! They could browse your catalogs as they waited for their appointment, place orders to raise $ for the rescue, and maybe enter to win something in a drawing. You could possibly reach several dozen different folks each day, some of which will undoubtedly be your "target" clients/hosts.

Good luck with your new business!!

I voted yes. I have 3 dogs and one is a very spoiled Jack Russell. He doesn't know he's a dog! I looked at the website and think that if you are in an area where people pamper their pets then you will do well. Even if one isn't into pampering, who doesn't buy dog treats or toys? Just my 2 cents!

I am definately a pet lover and I really tried to find a pet rep for our vendor fair but had not luck. I think it is a very big market with a lot of potential if advertised in the right area.

I am pet lover also, but right now the kids have taken over that part
of my life. I still have my dog, but she has taken a back seat to
the kids. Just like all companies, there is a certain market to
target. There are definately people out there that their animals
are the object of pampering. I would probably attend a party if I
were invited--because I love parties smileys/smiley1.gif

I have a friend that does it, she loves it and is doing pretty well. She does a lot of craft shows, etc. smileys/smiley17.gif
