Hello all, I am new to this site and have enjoyed reading everyones posts! I am also a new distributor & have a couple questions. Any advice?

I finally received my first order & its for 6 votives of different scents. He wants totry some votives before buying a jar. Do you all take mixed scent orders for votives? Right now I don't have the inventory...any options besides ordering 6 dozen?

Thanks for your help! And have a scent sational Thanksgiving!!!

I tell all my team members to sell votives in sets of 4 of the same scent. I sell them 4/$12.00 and that way the dozen paid for and i still have 8 left. If you want to pm what you need, I have over 23 scents here. Just let me know and I can see if I can help.

Thank you Frances for the warm welcome & suggestion. I will make good on this order since it is a friend but will probably change my policy on other orders. I will know the scents this weekend so I'll contact you.

Thanks for your help! smileys/smiley1.gif

Just thought of something else...I was thinking about accepting credit card payments through paypal. Do you think this is beneficial? And set a minimum $ amount?

Welcome Penny!

I use Paypal. It is a very easy way to take payments without having to have a merchant account. You can even take credit card payments through them, even if people don't want to sign up with Paypal.

There was a message on the Scent-Sations message boardon a cheap merchant account - I didn't look into it yet, or read it all the way through, but it seemed cheaper than the ones I have looked into so far.

I haven't had anyone ask about credit cards yet.

I sell my votives in sets of 6 because another popular candle company around here does the same thing.People here expect that. At booths I offer them individually. I like the 4/12 too. I might try that, thanks Frances!

BTW -Welcome to the board! We have alot of fun here!

I also use paypal and find it very beneficial for people who I have met online and want to buy candles. Thus I don't have to wait on a check in the mail. :) Theres also www.propay.com (http://www.propay.com)which depending on the volume of money you are processing allows you to process by phone as well, so if you were at a craft show you call in the cc numbers and get approval on spot.

I will be around over the weekend, so just let me know and I hope to have the scents ya need. :)

Thanks Frances, Kimberly & Debra! I haven't had anyone ask me about credit cards but thought it might increase sales especially this time of year. At least with Paypal, you don't pay a fee unless you actually receive money. I'm certainly looking at the most cost effective way to go. Don't want hubby to have a fit! LOL

Wish me luck on my first craft show this weekend!!! I just hope my biz cards arrive in time from Vistaprint. (keeping my fingers crossed)
