The downside to this business is the cost of postage. I mailed out a box to Fairbanks today with 26 letters the box mailing cost me $9.60 I'm not complaining about that. Because I put so much in my letters the postal worker told me I had to put 4 stamps on each one!!! 4 stamps on 26 letters!!!!! I may have to raise my price or eliminate some of the things I put in the letters next year neither of these options make me happy but that postage bill was a killer. Do any of the rest of you face a postage problem?

i only have one package and do not offer np postmark. I also only offer a few things and to mail it first class it cost 97 cents

so i guess i am a little lucky

I only offer the NP stamp till the 2nd of december so all orders from now till the 17th will be direct mailed. I offer quite a bit in my letters. I know they are heavier than most peoples but 4 stamps is a bit stiff. At any rate I am going to get over it and move on. Postage didn't hurt me so bad last year when I only had a small amount of letters to send.

maybe you should break down what you offer into different options and adjust the price accordingly

I did it I chandged it up. I now offer a basic package for $8.00, a basic plus for $10.00 and a deluxe for $13.00. I think it is still a nice deal and I can live with the changes.

Last year my packages where $6 and $7.50. This year they are $7.50 and $10. I raised the prices of my packages only because of the postage hike. Yeah, I know it's a bummer.

Next year, I might just keep the package prices the same, but make people pay for shipping. (Right now, shipping is included.)

I also don't charge for shipping. I like the way I broke mine down. Take a look for me and tell me what you think.
