Has anyone else heard of a home based business (I think direct selling/party plan) that does bra fittings?

Hi Kimberly!

I know Jockey is starting a new company where they will do bra fittings. I dont know if they've launched yet but I saw a catalog. I love Jockey underwear and I know they are selling sleepwear and other items as well.

Did you recently watch Oprah? LOL 98% of her audience was wearing the wrong size bra...yikes!

Might be a great market! I am too embarrassed to have a fitting at a store, but I would do it with a rep at my home.

Good luck! - Oh...look on the DSA website for more information.

Yep, it's Jockey Person to Person. They just launched about a year ago. The stuff looks nice, but it costs more than Victoria's Secret. But of course, hostesses can earn it free! smileys/smiley2.gif

I know of one company: www.jeunique.com (http://www.jeunique.com) they offer a little more then just bras, but I had a party and was impressed with them. Their bras are a little expensive, but so worth having somone properly measure you. Nothing like you can get in the store :)

Thanks ladies. I requested info from both companies. I appreciate the responses.

A local mommies group that I belong to may decide to host a bra fitting session. I certainly need one!

I researched jockey extensively this summer...that's actually how I found this awesome websitesmileys/smiley1.gif. I was in contact with a gal named Roxie who was their National Sales Manager, I believe. I loved the product and the idea, but like it was mentioned above, it was kind of pricey. After MUCH consideration and showing the catalog around to friends and family, I decided against if for a few reasons....one thing I have discovered is that women ( in general..not allsmileys/smiley2.gif) will spend money on thier children, spouses and homes, but when it comes to spending on themselves, the guilt factor comes into play. I have had overwhelming success with Linen World, because everyone feels like they are buying something that they need anyway...so it's not so much of an indulgence. That is just my opinion of course, and I wish you the best of luck if you do pursue Jockey...like I said, it's a good quality product with a big name behind it, could be an amazing opportunity....and i KNOW I'm wearing the wrong bra size!! God bless Oprah!smileys/smiley36.gif

Best Wishes

I watched that episode of OPrah and found those women either very
daring or very BRAVE to be walking about in the BEFORE bras!! I SOOOO
need to get measured and I think I might be more comfortable having it
done in my home than in a store...I don't know. Maybe I'll just go find
the measuring tape......*sigh*

I know that my Mom use to talk about "Penny Rich" They fitted you for the correct size Bra. JC Pennys also does this at certain times of the year. I know that I must be wearing the wrong size cause My Boss, the secretary and myself all have the same size bra, yet we are all nowhere near the same size when you look at us - I will be geting this done at Pennys next go round

Good Luck in your search hope ya find the right ...ah...fit LOL

I wathed Oprah too and I've got to try what they said..... You are to measure UNDERNEATH your breast to get the correct band size. This is suppose to stop the band from riding up your back. Then you DON'T worry about cup size. You find the band size and then try on the cups sizes and you pick the cup size that you fill out properly. Some of those women were wearing band sizes too big and cup sizes too small. I've been getting a band size of 40 and when I went to measure myself yesterday, according the the lady on Oprah....I should be getting a 36!

I'll be trying on bras soon. This may explain why I keep pulling down the band in the back!!!!

I learned about measuring way back in college (ok not THAT far back) and I was measured then at and Elder Beerman. Not anything special I just chatted with the clerk and she was more than happy to measure me. She also taught me to bend forward when putting one on and shake your boobs into it to make sure it's the right cup size. I've had wonderful fitting bras ever since!! However, I've never had the nerve to tell my mom her's most definitely don't fit right.smileys/smiley9.gif Oh well.
