It's that time of year -- although we really should be thankful all year long, shouldn't we?



But since next week is Thanksgiving, tell us WAHMs, what are you thankful for?

I'm thankful that my family is healthy, my kids are happy, my husband
and I are very much in love... for the food we have to share, the
clothes on our backs, the roof over our heads... all the things we take
for granted every day but so many in the world do not have. I'm
thankful for all of God's many blessings for my family.

I am thankful for how God reminds me of the importance of being a mom. The things we purpose to teach our children are not always the most important. My 4 year old daughter was explaining to my friend, who happens to be a brand new mommy, that "you need to be still and quiet so that you can hear God talk to you". I do not remember making that a daily task for my daughter, yet she reminds us all to do it every day. How blessed I am to have such a bright little girl in my world.

I am so thankful to the Lord that He has blessed my husband and Iwith two beautiful children who are healthy, happy and so special! Also extremely thankful for my very close family who lives all of 5 minuts of each other so that we can be together anytime we want and to have the support of each other in all that we do! God has given us so much to be thankful for and his provisions are endless!

I am thankful that yesterday when my tire blew out while I was driving 55mph that nothing happened. I am thankful that a tow truck driver stopped to help me change the tire and didn't charge me anything. I am thankful that tires where on sale yesterday when I went to get a replacement.

I am thankful that I can work from home.

Besides the obvious being thankful for my kids, life, etc, I would have to say I'm thankful for what little bit of good sense I have left. This keeps from from beatin' up hubby whenhe does something stupid.


But seriously, I read something one time that basically reminded me to be thankful for everything like:


the high electric bill becauseyou have heat...


the job that you hate because you're able to work....


the old clunker car because you have transportation....


etc,etc,etc.....made me think. Gosh, I wish I could remember the other things...anybody recall seeing this one and remember the others?

It is a little past Thankgiving, but I am grateful to be alive. In Jan 05, I came down with the "flu". I really didnt think much of it untll three days later I passed out in the bathroom and my husband heard the fall. We went to the E.R. and i was told that they were going to keep a few days for obsevation, I kissed my hubby told him I loved him and woke up 3 months later. I didnt know where I was or what had happenned. I had been affected with A.R.D.S. We have a toddler and I missed alot of "firsts", but that is not the point. It took that to make me realize how wonderful life really is. And in a strange way to understand things the way my daughter did. I couldnt talk for monts because of the ventilator and that taught me how she feels, I couldnt walk, so I had to rely of everyone else. It taught me how to be humble. I make sure everyday I tell her I love her and him, becasue I realize now that it is all a gift and can be so easily taken for granted.

I couldn't imagine what that must have been like! I know that
must have been really hard, at least you learned and now are here to
enjoy your family!



I am most thankful for God, and my family! God for giving me
everything I have, including my wonderful family, and for loving me so

It takes something like that to snap out of it and stop taking life for granted.


January 18, 2006 my father was diagnosed with lung cancer. He and my mother live with us so I can take care of him. I am thankful to God for every day I am given with him and to be able to stay home caring for him and my family. My husband had provided wonderful support and is an angel for opening his home to my parents. We must look at every day as a precious gift from God.

Well... It's past Thanksgiving, but I still have so much to be thankful for.


I'm greatful to be married to my husband and best friend...
I have two wonderful children and a great business!!


But most of all I'm Thankful to our Lord and Savior!!!

i am thankful that GOD haa given me the joy of being a mom and have the most wonderful little boy i could ask for, that i have friends and family that care about us.

I'm thankful for my GREAT husband who has a generous servant heart and is hugely gifted.

I am also thankful that I have two highly creative, but VERY easy to deal with, kids who are fun to parent.

I'm very thankful for my family of course! For my husband who cares for me and provides for our family. For the opportunity to stay home with my kids. For health and all of our needs met.


I'm thankful to God for His saving grace and mercy provided through the death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus to take the punishment I deserve for thepride and selfishnessI have in my heart. I'm thankful that He gives me His Spirit of Power to overcome my shortcomings and for the opportunity to serve Him with a pure and holy heart.

I'm new to WAHM and extremely thankful to have been referred by another WAHM. The site has so much valuable information for a newbie!


Aside from that, I am momto 10 children (and grandma to almost 3 grandchildren now).I have so much for which to be thankful! First and foremost, God for blessing me with so many to love. Secondly, for my husband who is truly my best friend and works hard to support our family. And to my children for keeping me young and full of life! Last but not least, I'm thankful I still have my sanity!!smileys/smiley5.gif


Now if I could just find that perfect work-at-home job...arggghhh!!

You know we can all take it for granted at times, and often it is only when our health is threatened that we sit up and take notice of it.


I was recently thinking that it wouldnt matter if you had all the money in the world, all the fame you could ever want etc....


But it would be meaningless if you weren't healthy.


No money can take away pain.


No one can exersise or make healthy choices for you, it is something that only you can do.

Totally agree with you on health. When I was a child, I was born with a very weak heart and liver and my doctor supposedly told my parents I would be dead by the time I was seven. When I was 17, I was overweight at 250lbs, but against the doctor's advise, I started exercising! Yep , weak heart so no my doc said no exercise. But I figured the extra weight is not good for my health anyway, so why not. I started watching what I ate, started exercising, and lost the weight. My heart became stronger and even though I still have heart palpitations now and then, and yes, it is scary, I am still alive at 40!


Without health, you won't be able to enjoy the money you make.


So very thankful for just being alive.

Firstly I am thankful that my parents taught me to love God and read my Bible and pray. I don't know how anyone would get through what life throws at you without God.


Secondly I am thankful for my health. As so many have said on here, you often take it for granted until it is taken away from you. I will be eternally grateful to the dear lady in her 80s who told my mother (and she in turn told me) about the nutrients that are restoring my health. That is the best 'gift' I have ever been given.


Lastly I am thankful for my husband who works so hard and is such a wonderful provider. It must have been so hard for him when I was too sick to even do the shopping or housework but he never complained once.

I thank God For Jesus, my health and strength, and for the many blessings that he has restored upon me..whether I realize them or not..


I'm also thankful for my family, and few friends..

They are 14 and 16 years old and together we have managed our divorce from my second wife (not their mother), they love her as much as I do and it has been a very tough time for all three of us, since april this year. Today I am thankful for finally waking up rested and no symptons of the flu virus. I really feel rested and healthy. It justs takes one day at a time. Thanks to all of you that allow me share this daily message.

I am thankful for everything. Such as my children, family andfriends. Everything that I had to go trough to get to where I am today. I thank God for keeping me safe and having loving parents to back me up whenever I was introuble or in a crisis.

I am thankful that I had an epiphany when I was 20yrs old (now 46), to look inside myself with the help of a College Campus counselor. Having practiced many of the tools I learned back then, has been a blessing in my life everyday since.


I am thankful for my students, as children have become my most profound teachers.

My granddaughter who is grown up now and she is going through the transition from teenager to adult. She is realizing now the amount of responsibilities that adults have, and there are times she wishes she was still a kid again. What makes me thankful is that when she does not understand something she will come to me ask and be willing to have a conversation regardng the situation.

I am thankful that our family is safe, sound, and that we are back in our house after it had to be rebuilt because of a fire. We were not in our house for Christmas last year, so this is a really big year for us!

I am thankful for God and his darling sone Jesus. I am originally from New Orleans. I lost eveything in Hurricane Katrina. I thank God for Hurricane Katrina. I went to church but I did not have the relationship I have with God before the hurricane. I lost everything which gave me a new start here in Texas. I enjoy my new life and my new husband to the fullest. I thank God for that because his word says that Jesus came that we might have life abudantly, to the full and until it overflows. (John 10:10) I miss the culture of New Orleans but I am grateful to be here in Texas.

Wow! There's a ton to be thankful for! First and foremost, I'm thankful for my salvation. No matter what, I'm going to spend eternity in heaven with Jesus! Second, I'm thankful for my family. I'm blessed with two wonderful sons and I thank God each day for them. I'm so grateful for my health. I'm perfectly healthy with no issues. I've been blessed with a great lifestyle and way of life. I'm grateful to be an American. We enjoy so many freedoms and blessings that many people in other countries don't have. I guess I could go on and on but I'll end with this...when I'm feeling a little down, I just take a moment to pause and meditate on my blessings and it usually takes my mind off of what I was feeling down about.

I am thankful for so many things, what comes to mind first though:


My parents, my children and their smiles and innocence, my husband (most days!), sunny days, my job (even though I would like to be able to tell it goodbye!), my business with lia sophia and that I control how I benefit from it, spring and summertime (should include snowy days when I can watch it out the window and leaves falling....but spring and summer are the best), Sundays with no plans and being able to do whatever whenever we want, Christmas, my health...and the health and happiness of those I care about, sitting by the lakeon a hot day at sunset.


I could go on and on....but those are the things that came to me first!

I am thankful that God led me to the man I was supposed to spend the second part of my life with. He is so wonderful in every way that I can hardly describe it.
He led me to the church I joined, and back to Christ in my life, which is another huge thing I am grateful for.

I am thankful for God and this great Universe he has given us and all the wonderful things in it, My kids drive me nuts sometimes but I am so thankful that they are healthy and happy. My husband complains about work but we are thankful that he has a job and is able to work. My mother can be honery and nosey sometimes but I am thankful that she is still with me and that she has put her whole life into raising us kids and has always been there for us. I miss my Daddy dearly but am thankful that he's helping God keep an eye out for us. I would love to have a home of our own and a car of my own but I am thankful that we have a roof over our heads and at least one vehicle. I love steak and baked potatoes and salad but am so very thankful each time we open a can of chicken noodle soup to eat with the grilled cheese sandwiches. It's 86 degrees and quite hot here today but I am thankful for the sunshine that warms us when it's cold and helps the garden grow. I have a dog, Ginger,and 2 cats with some kittens that are spoiled and turn their noses up at the cheap food I buy on weeks when pay is short, but I'm thankful for them, too,when they give me the look that says "I love you." I'm thankful for all the good times and the bad times that have taught me some of the most important lessons in life.

That I am alive and God gives me just the breath to live! We have many things to be thankful for that we take for granted each and every day! I thankful that Jesus Christ came into my life and that I believe in him and will have eternal life forever with him one day!

Hello everyone I'm new here and nice to meet everyone. I'm thankful that I can walk with being disabled with my back messed uped. God gets me through the day knowing that he is there for me. I hurt my back 6 years ago and have been out of work since. If it was not for family I would be living in my car or the streets. And I thank God everyday and night for that. I have tried so many online jobs that I have only lost money and gotten noone to go to my sites to make any money. Hopefully here soon god will help me there. It is hard to go on nothing lol. But I have God and the good people around me. And thank you for letting me get in on this topic.

I'm thankful that my husband is giving his two weeks' notice for his night job -his day job boss is going to give him 48 hours a week. It's something we should have done ages ago, but we didn't think he could give the extra hours.

I am greatful for my awesome 'other', my new (old) car, my family, my health, and my current mental state. I am greatful for the gym, and salad as well as a good book. I'm also greatful that I can work from home and that I get to help people while making money.

I sometimes forget to ask myself this everyday. I tend to complain about the bad things and not the good things, so with that being said, here it goes. I am thankful for my family and their good health. I am thankful for my good health. I am thankful that I have a good job. I am thankful for Sugar Pie (my dog), Sasha May (my cat), and Cornflake (my other, and eldest cat). And, last but not least, I am thankful for life and the wonderful opportunities it brings.

I'm thankful that I was lucky enough to be born in a safe country - and didn't have to worry about basic comforts like food, warmth and clothing.

I am thankful that I am a forgiven person (totally changed from who I was 10 years ago!). I am thankful that God has opened my eyes to a whole new life, a new husband, a wonderful 3 year old daughter, new friends, new business interests and all the blessings that come from all of the above. I don't take any credit for it, but I ama very grateful person. I am blessed with many talents such as web design and internet marketing. I am able to bless other business owners with my skills by helping them increase their business.

I appreciate Your comments. This whole growth thing has become a real process.....in fact a very important part of my life. It's interesting that lately the thing I have been noticing is that I have had very little attention on myself and have been focusing on people coming into the business and how I can help them to move forward.

When I look back at how far I have come I realize that so much of it has been because I have been able to really start to tune in to what the people around me seem to need by way of their growth and not mine. It is simply amazing what starts to happen in Your life when You drop the need to promote Your own personal agenda and start to focus on others.

For me it has meant I have had to get some things together superfast and out of the way so I can really be useful to others.

It certainly sounds like You have Your priorities right: God First. Family, Friends and Business. I can tell from Your post that You are truly blessed. Learning how to make money at home can sometimes be a very daunting challenge, as there are so many people on the Web that don't really have their priorities right.

Far too many people have become so enrollment conscious that they fail to see that unless they really equip their people with the skills and training they need to succeed that they are just basically setting more and more people up to experience failure.

ThisWAS a decent thread.....There was so much positive affirmations going on and building up so many people and then it went a different direction. We all have moments in life (we are human) that get us out of "whack" but this forum is here to help edify each other, regardless of what we promote. I'm very thankful that we have this forum to speak to other people from all walks of life and just chat bout life for a while (sounds like a line in a Billy Joel Song). It seems funny sometimes how we miss the picture when it comes to thankfulness and just focus on a couple things in our lives that we think are not so good.

For me it continues to be a great pleasure and an honor to mentor and coach so many great people on the Internet. People who are beginning to see their true worth and value as human beings. I AM treating the trust that they have placed in me like this wonderful gift.
