View Full Version : Posting with respect

Hey everyone! I just wanted to share something here in the BC folder that I've noticed in other folders on the board. I visit the party plan folder most of the time and have for a couple/three years. Something that's kind of just unspoken there is when a topic is brought up about company info and a rep with a company posts the information, another rep with the same company doesn't come in behind them and post the same information. We take the time to read the original post, read all the other posts to make sure no one with our company has answered (til now for me it's just been Latasia that I post about) and then we post our info on our company if no one has answered yet.
I've noticed several times, a couple that I've answered first, some that I haven't but it's been done to other BC reps, that someone has already talked about BC on a topic and at least one other BC rep comes in and tells basically the same info and sometimes it's a couple different reps after the first BC rep posted.
Has it been discussed here that out of respect for each other in BC that we should make sure and read the whole thread when someone asks for specials, opportunity info on different companies or whatever that gives someone an opportunity to talk about BC? And if someone with BC has already posted we step back unless it's an old post and we want to update on the newest info and no one with BC has went back and done that yet?
Like I said, I think it's just a respect thing and I've gotten used to it and since being in BC I've noticed this happening a good bit. Not trying to start a fight here, just wanting to see how everyone feels about this. Put yourself in the first BC rep to answer a topic's shoes and how you would feel about another BC rep coming in and trying to answer the question better or different than you did so as to get the lead and not you. Just doesn't seem right or fair. There are plenty of leads to go around, on message boards and elsewhere so in my eyes there's no need to do the multiple reps from one company posting in a single topic thing. Now, if there's something to add, I think that's cool but with a nod to the original BC poster and not saying the same thing the first rep said but just in a more eloquent or flowery way. JMHO.

I suspect that consultants are posting the same answer because they just happen to be typing and hitting the "Post Reply" button at the same time. I don't have any problem with it. Life is too short to worry about multiple posting.

I think that Krystal is talking about when someone asks about the BeautiControl opportunity and you have mutiple people replying. And I for one agree.

Sarah, no I'm not talking about people posting at the same time. I'm talking about exactly what Sara Kelly quoted. And I'm talking about in the WAHM's in Party Plans folder as well as when someone comes to this folder asking for info on BeautiControl.
Thanks Cheryl and Sara Kelly for seeing the point!!

I just wanted to chime in with I have looked at several other message boards and think that we do a great job! There are some really argumentative ones out there! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif
With that said, if there is an interested party looking to join and posts in our folder, I believe the first person to reply, should be the only person to reply.
As with multiple people posting at the same time, I think that cannot be avoided if they are posting at the same time...??...
I appreciate that everyone is so positive on this board!

We've discussed it plenty, plenty here. I think the general consensus was that the information seeker would ultimately respond to whomever she wants to work with.
Also, some units offer additional incentive in addition to what is offered by BC for signing upin certain months (my director regularly gives "days at the spa" or a set like Therma to new recruits). I do post these when information is asked on the Party Plan board.
