It wasn't too much, but ya gotta start somewhere, right? I sold a total of 18 votives &a votive holder. I pickedthe holder upon sale at Michael's for 50¢ & sold it for $1. smileys/smiley2.gif
One of the women left her 4 pk. of votives in her car overnight & asked me today if I can make a sachet in that same scent because when she got in her car this morning, she didn't smell 1 hint of cigarettes, which she was totally impressed by. She's a heavy smoker. Now to get some SpongebobSquarepants fabric. Her choice; not mine. smileys/smiley36.gif

Way to go girl!!! Yipee!!!! You are awesome. I got some of those votive cups today at Michael's, too. I made some sachets with the clean cotton and put one in my lingerie drawer. It smells so good. I am so proud of you, you are on the way. Every step is a GIANT step to your success and being home with baby. How are you feeling? Lesly smileys/smiley32.gif

I'm feeling well, Lesly. Thanks for asking. smileys/smiley1.gif I had my latest appointment today & everything's progressing nicely. We had Lamaze this weekend & it was quite an interesting experience. Now DH is practicing for the big day every chance he gets by telling me, "You're doing great, honey! We're almost there!" He's afraid he'll get in there and be completely useless.smileys/smiley36.gif
As for the sachets, I made a couple of prototypes a few weeks ago using some leftover plain white linen I had from an old project. I cut about a foot square and folded it in half since the fabric wasn't very thick and I didn't want wax working it's way through. I then stuffed it down into a votive holder and spooned some crushed wax into it. I didn't do an exact measure butI guess it was maybe 2 Tablespoons or so. It depends on how big you want it. Ithen gathered it up around the top and put a tight rubberband around it.Next, I sewed the top shut by hand making sure topull the thread tightly so it would bunch up around the top. I removed the rubberband and tiedsome ribbon around the top to cover the stitching and TA DA! 2 new car air fresheners!
I noted the date I hung them in our cars so we can figure out how long the scent will last. It's been almost 2 wks and you can still smell them as soon as you open the door. It's not overpowering though. I plan on using more wax for the Spongebob sachet since she's a heavy smoker.

OK I have one word for you epidural. Really, and don't let them tell you they have already given you enough. My last one came out twice and I felt EVERYTHING!!! Not to scare you. My first one was so easy, I had to tell them to back off of the medicine with him. I am thinking of you. Tell your husband he will be fine too!!! Just being there with you is so helpful. Just wait till your little bundle of joy comes out. You will be amazed how much you can love another person! LOL Leslysmileys/smiley1.gif
