View Full Version : Question regarding parties

Hi everyone,
I have a quick question. I have an Arbonne house party tonight that has been scheduled for about a month. Two days ago I was informed by the hostess that she has invited another vendor, candles, to be part of the evening. Needless to say I was a bit surpried. She said it was because "everyone has heard of Arbonne" so she wanted to entice people to come by having another option and also because she promised the other a vendor a party before Christmas and doesn't want to have 2 parties.

Has this happened to anyone before? I have done parties with multiple vendors before but knew that going in and was just there as a display no presentation. The hostess said I can still present but asked that it not be too long so the other person can do their part. Any suggestions? Should I focus on the biz part and my "I" story and then briefly talk about the RE9 stuff or focus more on the products including holiday stuff? Love to hear others thoughts.

Thanks!

Wow! I've never had anything like that happen to me. I think your plan sounds great. Let us know how it turns out!

Hi all,
Well, it worked out okay...better than I had anticpated...$600 in RV with $135 for someone who set up a wholesale account and the rest sold at retail so a profit there, without overrides, of $156. I expected less considering there were two of us selling.

My presentation was short...talked about my "I" story, a bit about the products, there were some users who helped to talk it up especially the thermal infusion mask, and the Awaken scrub was a bit hit, I think with the cold weather here and dry hands. I didn't say as much as I would have liked but wanted to hold their attention.

The candle person did a much longer presenation with lots of games, some of them dirty, not offensive, but just not how I do my business. So, all in all, a good night and some nice relationships were formed.

Thanks for the update, sounds like you did a great job. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley32.gif

Guest testimonials are very powerful, I think you demonstrated that it is not always necessary to do all the talking in order to sell product. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley20.gif
